Man arrested in connection with quadruple slayings

Kimani Washington faces weapons charges in connection with the shooting deaths.

A Massachusetts man has been arrested in connection with the shooting deaths of four people, including a toddler, in Boston Tuesday, police said Saturday.

Kimani Washington, 35, was arrested without incident Friday night in an apartment complex in Manchester, New Hampshire, police there said. He is being held in New Hampshire pending his arraignment at Manchester District Court on a fugitive from justice charge.

"Today should serve as a warning to all those who seek to harm others,"
said Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. "Our offices will not rest until you are hunted down, captured and locked up."

In Massachusetts, Washington faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and receiving a stolen motor vehicle in connection with the shooting, Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said.

The brutal shootings occurred on Sept. 28 around 1:15 a.m. in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston.

The shootings did not appear to be random, District Attorney Dan Conley said earlier this week. The individuals were found lying in the street - one of them naked. He has not been charged with murder.

Police identified the victims as Eyanna Louise Flonory, 21, her 2-year-old son, Amanihotep Smith, Simba Martin, 21, and Lavaughan Washum-Garrison, 22, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.

A fifth person was brought to the hospital in critical condition.

The police commissioner declined to comment on whether Washington may have been the shooter in this case. He also refused to say whether police have any other suspects.

Fear not; he'll die of old age...it would, after all, be 'cruel' to start an IV if he doesn't have great veins.

God have mercy on their souls. God allows for free will on earth. The good and the bad. It's a heartache to watch for God as well, I'm sure. It's the question people have been asking for thousands of years. Why does God allow bad things to happen?

Because of free will. Some people die as martyrs, some die peacefully, some die for honor and country and some die tragically without explaination. God will seperate the wheat from the chaff at judgement. Pray for all the people living in the world and pray for the poor souls in purgatory if your Catholic. They need your prayers very much. Prayers go out for all crime victims. I would also pray that this criminal repents before he meets his maker. God Bless.

First of all a tradegy that anyone is murdered ANYONE 2Yr old or not. Second man has a free will meaning stop blaming GOD for your own stupidity. Third the Framers new of mans greed for power and gave us the 2nd amendment to protect us from the government..they looked at England and new that the same would happen to us. Now if any of you pseudo-intellects want to debate this..bring it on..But this article itself was about a man murdering people not if if if... and not to publish your personal agendas grow up and have sorrow for the heinous ending of not one..but many peoples lives

@Meggy. Right on Meggy. I say feed him to the lions, at least his life has a meaning at that time. This guy is worse than an animal. Animals don't killl for pleasure or for greed. Animals kill for survival. Don't waste a bullet on this guy. If you want to have any deterrence to murder, once found guilty beyond any doubt, take him out to public and feed to lions or tigers. It will set an example that if one decided to murder will have that tragic end.

Why is it necessary for CNN to describe these as "brutal" shootings? When is murder ever not 'brutal"?

By the looks of the killer its a good thing he used a gun it would have been a painfully slow death if he had to kill them by other means teeth or shoelace or knife. Nothing would have stopped that guy from killing look at those psycho eyes. The gun debate is a joke and irrelevant to this matter.

Jeff this guy made a choice to kill people. God gave you brain, rationale, and free will to make decisions while you are on this earth and this guy apparently didnt use any of these things.
