Palestinian shot, killed by Israeli border patrol officer

A Palestinian worker was shot and killed early Sunday morning during a struggle with an Israeli border police officer, an Israeli Police spokesman said.

The man was part of a group of 15 Palestinian workers who were trying to cross into east Jerusalem from the West Bank, Israeli police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld said.

The police officer spotted the men crossing the fence and began to pursue them, Rosenfeld said. The officer told investigators that during the pursuit, one of the Palestinian men tried to grab his firearm, and the officer shot and killed the man during the struggle, Rosenfeld said.

A police internal investigations committee is questioning the officer, Rosenfeld said.

One would think people would be on their best behavoir during this time period. This is a reminder when two groups are located in close proximity there will be minor incidents. If looked upon as anything other than minor incidents they will prevent the important goal from being achieved. That has been the mistake made time and time again for over 60 years.
Ignore the incident, proceed toward reaching the important goal.

Someday everyone involved in the creation of Israel will be dead, everyone involved in WWII will be dead. When that day comes we won't have to listen to unforgiving old men and women filled with hatred and a desire for revenge hold peace hostage. iMen and women who weren't even born then will be the world leaders but until then there is no hope.

Only an unarmed idiot would struggle with an armed lawman unless larceny was exposed and then the fight was on. Workers? Yea right.

@Gee-you-aren't-the-wiz, watching too many action movies? Get back to reality, unarmed worker out gunned and out numbered by professionally trained soldiers. He should have not been shot. Probally was carrying a bagged lunch and trying to feed his family.

Big deal, pigs in the US do this to handcuffed people every day. All a US beat cop has to say is that he feared for his life and he can legally kill someone. Making any movement whatsoever can result in summary execution. Palestinians think they got it bad, come live in police state USA with the shaved headed monsters itching to execute an innocent person we have here

    • Hatredness of Neighbor!

The police are extensively trained to subdue, heavily protected, and undrawn, secured weapons have several barriers preventing a weapon from being taken. Life is precious and death and harm should not be the first option because of corrupt policies says by any force necessary. You police who take forgo life to murder and maime will answer to God if not men!

Katy Hill. There will be peace. A state of Palestine will be created and all leaders of Middle East will be occupied redesigning the involved area into two countries trading with each other.
Hope has nothing to do with it. A decision has been made.

    • Deceit and Duplicity!

That day will be a false peace. The vault of heaven and it's blue sky shines on Israelite and the palestineans: brothers fighting under the same roof. Peace does not come to a divided house or a house split in two. When the two brothers treat each other with the same charity there will be peace. The true enemies of israelites are also enemies of the palestineans. Wake up brothers and stop being divided against each other for there awaits on the sidelines waiting to despoil both.

I'm wondering what "God's little helpers" are up to. If you believe Israel is still God's chosen, then you no doubt view the Israeli MOSSAD as His choice as well. What has mossad been up to lately CNN?

    • know well, you twist everything

It is the humblest, poorest, littiest, nothingness, and impoverish and weakest that will triumph over all things. Quanity nor quality has no bearing in these matters. For every king and prince shall fall, kingdoms and thrones shall go except for One.

phil. If it were not for the Mossad, cowardly individuals would get away with murdering innocent people. The Mossad have not killed or captured anyone who did not deserve it.
Actually many deserved much much more but that has been left for God to administer.

They are both acts of hatredness against life and neighbor, except Mami is randomized, spontaneous and the other is organzed, on-going, attacking the way of life its victims, not random and not spontaneous rather focus and targeted from one moment to next, ever, ongoing harassement.

Jim....google "mossad" and familiarize yourself with their blunders. One that stands out in my mind is when two of them were arrested in NYC. They were setting up cameras pointed at the trade towers...the day BEFORE 9/11. They were released. "Diplomatic Imunity". The mossad are paid assasins. period.

You cover so many areas of concern to me and prisitual abuse is up there on my list. I have walked away from the established church (and am unsure what faith I can now hold onto, if any) and have lots of questions. It is refreshing to see you confront so honestly many of those questions. I have been away from active church membership since 2002 after being severely affected by my last church (I would term a cult). It is a can of worms to look at negative concerns of the church but so necessary. All strength to you and keep up the good writing/cartooning.
