Obama notes private sector job growth, rips GOP

President Obama put a positive spin on the Labor Department's new jobs report Friday, noting the country has now had nine straight months of private sector job growth.

The economy lost 95,000 jobs in September, though the private sector added 64,000 jobs. The nation's unemployment rate remained unchanged at 9.6 percent.

Obama blamed the net job loss on layoffs at both the U.S. Census and state and local governments. He slammed the GOP for opposing additional state assistance.

    Wow...the ignorance on this blog is amazing!!! I don't apologize for voting for Obama, I would do it again if I had to. Americans want this country to stay the same and not evolutionize..we need to grow as a nation we have the teabag party who are the biggest crock of sh!t I have seen in a long time. We cannot fix an 8yr problem in two yrs ppl...what is it u don't understand about that???

    Someone hit it right on. The leading repulicans R all racist. Let our president do his job! If the bush tax cuts R ended it will free up billions of $$ for our economy. Please vote Democrats or we will be moving out of this country.Please stick to facts not second hand info U get from the media. Be sure to listen as it comes out the mouths ofbthe politicians then U will know its a fact.

    Your so close-minded to your liberal points of view and trying to not admit your faults that you are turning a blind eye to the issues..SMALL BUSINESSES ARE NOT HIRING BECAUSE OBAMA(your great savior)HAS MADE IT TO EXPENSIVE TO HIRE NEW PEOPLE..@just cause...and to be so closeminded to say that its just an 8 yr problem ? One of the many reasons for the current economic trouble we are in is also due to Clintons over spending..so the problem stems from way further back than just the Bush administration..so get off the Bush hate bandwagon and open your eyes and mind..@pat...start packing buddy !
