UConn evacuates West Hartford campus after bomb threat

The University of Connecticut's West Hartford campus was evacuated Thursday after a bomb threat, said a message posted on the university's website.

"A bomb threat has been received for the West Hartford Campus," the online message said. "Police have responded and are investigating. The evacuation of the campus is in progress and no entry into buildings will be allowed until 12 PM or later. Please check back for further details."

    Michelle, you must be blonde? Usually when people evacuate they don't necessarily go home. Sometimes they leave home- and if they happen to live close to work/school then they are given direction by the authorities depending on the situation. Wow, what a question. Now I have to change my name. I am mortified that someone might think we could be the same person.

    If we could just ignore these incidents most of the perpetrators would stop bluffing and school would simply proceed in a normal fashion. Unfortunately they know that we can’t afford to do that.

    Gil, that comment really looks official- woo hoo. They will find this guy and he will be doing 5 to 10 in the prison. Everyone knows the Asian guy did it.
