No new trial for O.J. Simpson

The Nevada Supreme Court on Friday rejected former football player O.J. Simpson's request to overturn his convictions for kidnapping with a deadly weapon, robbery and other charges in 2008, but the court ordered a new trial for co-defendant Clarence Stewart.

OJ should have known he was a marked man! To give the (non)justice department another shot at him was a stupid move on his part. I would challenge anyone to find a case where this type of sentence has been given to anyone in a situation such as this. To all you naysayers, before you jump on the bandwagon, just wait until you face this type of situation! If you think this is justice, I hope I never have you on any jury I participate in, whether defendant or not!

...and only another murderer would face the same sort of situation. Because the rest of us know the difference between right and wrong. Ok. Stop being a stupid fool.

You know what, abide by the law and you would not have to worry about things like this. Like Barreta use to say: if you don't have the time, don't do the crime.

Perhaps if your brother, like Ron Goldman, an innocent bystander, lost his life so violently and then the murderer walked away..... you'd feel a little differently.

Patricia, did you really just say that...defendant or not???? You are an OJ psycho fan. You obivously commit crimes and kill people and haven't been caught yet. Your diatribe makes no sense.

I totally agree Patricia, I also think Misty Croslin found herself in the same boat. Do I think both did the crimes they weren't convicted for? Yes.

But this type of thing is unfair and an abuse of power.

Most people knew he was guilty as sin in his murder trial. He got off, was stupid, and he finally got what he rightfully deserved. No, the color of his skin did not mean anything....

Stewart, the co-defendant, is getting a new trial based on the fact that being tried alongside Simpson was overly prejudicial.

audery...what do you mean by "you all" ? If you mean the justice system, Nevada is separate from California and they did not try him on murder charges. if you mean "white people" I do believe the jury that convicted him was represented by Americans of different races. Where does this leave your argument? He is either guilty or not guilty of the offense he was charged with. He is not a choir boy whether you believe he killed 2 people in Brentwood or not. He has been in and out of trouble ever since those murders took place. The guy is bad news period. His race has nothing to do with that.

Enough with the racism!!!!!!!!! What is your problem? This is about everything except race...... oh becuase he was acquitted becuase he's a famous black sports figure. And just for the record, the jury consisted of 8 blacks, 2 Hispanics, 1 half-Caucasian, half Native American, and 1 Caucasian female.

Who cares if it was an all white jury. Your comment and even the fact that you know, and think about the race of the jury shows that white people are not the racist anymore. Its all the other races out there that use the race card and think about things in that way. Get over it. A none white person can dream racist stuff all day long and no one will even think twice about it. A white jury convicted a GUILTY black man and you think we should set him free just because he is a black man. What a joke.

This disgusting clown butcherd two innocent people. If you think he didn't do it and his "not guilty" verdict in Los Angeles was anything less than a racisdt verdict by a black jury, you should get your drinking water checked out 'cause there's som,e thing in it affecting your brain. I'm and atheist but when I see this kind of poetic justice happen, it almost makes me believe there is a god after all. Let's hope that he rots in jail. I would have prefered to see him stretched out on a gurney with a couple of tubes attached to his veins......but knowing that he will spend a number of years in a Nevada prison is some consolation. Now I look forward to seeing a future headline which says: "O.J Simpson Dies In a Nevada Prison Aged 85."

    Thank you Nevada Justice System.

Guru. It was NOT a white jury. It was mainly a black jury and, if you were around when this travesty of justice took place (the NOT GUILTY verdict) you might remember that many blacks were expressing the opinion that it was "Payback time." Payback time!? How is it "payback time" to butcher 2 innocent people, both who were not prejudiced?
