Georgetown drug lab busted

A drug lab was discovered in a Georgetown dorm.

Some students at Georgetown University are trying to understand how someone could have operated a drug lab in a dorm room at the school.

"I would understand if someone got caught doing it. Making it, that's different. It's shocking," 19-year-old sophomore Gina Park told the Washington Post.

Saturday morning two Georgetown University students and a campus visitor - all male - were arrested in connection to a suspected drug lab found inside a dormitory, said D.C. Metro Officer police said. All are at least 18.

They are facing charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, said Officer Hugh Carew, a police spokesman.  None were identified.

Police received a call shortly before 6 a.m. about a foul odor at Georgetown's Harbin Hall. Initially, police thought the lab was for producing meth, but later said it was used to make Dimethyltryptamine, a hallucinogenic drug commonly known as DMT.  FULL STORY

Jail time for DMT is about a rididilous as jail time for pot... They deserve a slap on the wrist. 20 years would be too harsh. If it were a meth lab, I'd say lock em up! It wasn't... Legalize the natural, harmless substances... Prohibit those that cause harm to yourselves and others... Like alchohol.

Someday crystal-meth will be an otc medication. don't laugh....over 2,000 yeaars ago a man predicted that someday men would be marrying men, and people laughed at him. Now look who the jokes is on. Next: man and dog will marry in the church. don't laugh, things are certainly headed in that direction.

that is a terrible and yes it doesnt matter if its a ivy league school or not. the point is that the r selling drugs in our kids schools. and believe that is probably one of the first school to get caught but its not the last. they shouldnt get a life sentence but on the other hand they should get some time in jail.
