Republican governors take hold in Pennsylvania, NM

Projections are based on CNN analysis of exit poll data:

Pennsylvania Republican Tom Corbett has defeated Democrat Dan Onorato in the race for governor, CNN projects. Democratic Gov. Ed Rendell is term-limited.

New Mexico Republican Susana Martinez has defeated Democratic Lt. Gov. Diane Denish in the race for governor, CNN projects. Democratic Gov. Bill Richardson is term-limited.

Louisiana Republican Jeff Landry has defeated Democrat Ravi Sangisetty in the race for the 3rd Congressional District, CNN projects. Democratic Rep. Charlie Melancon is running for U.S. Senate.

Louisiana Democrat edric Richmond has defeated Republican incumbent Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao in the race for the Louisiana 2nd Congressional District, CNN projects.

Pennsylvania Republican Mike Kelly has defeated Democratic incumbent Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper in the race for the 3rd Congressional District, CNN projects.

Alabama Republican Robert Bentley has defeated Democrat Ron Sparks to win the gubernatorial race, CNN projects. Republican Gov. Bob Riley is term-limited.

Wyoming Republican Matt Mead has defeated Democrat Leslie Petersen in the race for governor, CNN projects. Democratic Gov. Dave Freudenthal is term-limited.

Utah Republican Mike Lee has defeated Democrat Sam Granato, CNN projects winning the Senate seat vacated by Republican Sen. Bob Bennett, who was defeated for renomination.

Utah Republican incumbent Gov. Gary Herbert has won his bid for re-election in the gubernatorial race, CNN projects, defeating Democrat Peter Corroon.

Pennsylvania Republican Tom Marino has defeated Democratic incumbent Rep. Chris Carney in the race for the 10th Congressional District, CNN projects.

Colorado Democrat John Hickenlooper has won the race for governor, CNN projects, beating out independent Tom Tancredo and Republican Dan Maes. Democratic Gov. Bill Ritter is retiring.

Ohio Republican Bob Gibbs has defeated Democratic incumbent Rep. Zack Space in the race for the 18th Congressional District, CNN projects.

    FINALLY !!! no more Rendell and Tom is going to clean house !!!! I'm so stoked!! Now if he can kick the Welfare Hustlers and Social Services leaches ( I'm not referring to those truly needy and deserving) off the backs of the working class tax payers, I will kneel and kiss his shoes. We're rooting for you Mr. C. I believe in you, and so do the Majority of Pensylvanians. Hooraa!
