'South Park' lampoons Nike, BP and LeBron

"South Park" spoofed the LeBron James ad -- this time with the help of a cartoon Tony Hayward.

You know you're on the right path when the makers of "South Park" have their sights squarely on you.

And they did that last night with the talk of the NBA season, LeBron James, who has taken the Heat, so to speak, in Miami and from the media after his lengthy and drawn-out decision process following his free agency.

And the hits didn't stop there. They kept on coming when James and Nike teamed up for an ad now famously known as "What Should I Do."

"What should I do?" James says in the ad. "Should I admit that I made mistakes?"

So leave it to Matt Stone and Trey Parker to kick it up a notch and spoof the ad in their latest episode of the Comedy Central animated series. And who better to be the new face of the "What Should I Do?" ad in their opinion - BP's Tony Hayward, of course. Watch the clip here

"Hello, I'm Tony Hayward," the clip begins. "The tragic spill in the Gulf is a disaster that should have never happened. And as head of the oil company responsible, I'd like to say, "What should I do?"

"Should I admit we've made mistakes? Should I remind you we've done this before? What should I do," the ad continues.

The ad continues to lampoon both King James' PR stunt, with the seriousness of Hayward's actual PR issue with the Gulf of Mexico, and many other high-profile folks struggling with either very real - or very lame - existential crises.

And in true "South Park" fashion, it has everyone talking about it today.

I'm sorry.... I'm sorry.... Blink blink. Captain Hindsight is hilarious and is the perfect metaphor for those who do nothing to solve the problems despite their infinite wisdom. All anyone in the media does is have "experts" who assess blame without offering new and comprehensive solutions to prevent further problems.

I wonder if they'll back down and apologize if BP threatens to kill them like they ran from the Islamist threats a few months ago.

@Jane, I thought I was the only one that notice the MY NEIGHBOR TOTORO references. Only Trey and Matt could succesfully cross pollinate Miyazaki and Lovecraft. LOL!
