Tropical storm Tomas strengthens back into hurricane

Tropical storm Tomas strengthened back into a hurricane Saturday hours after being downgraded to a tropical storm, the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida, reported Saturday.

Tomas had already wrought extensive damage on parts of Haiti by the time it was downgraded to a tropical storm Saturday morning. Six people were killed, homes were destroyed and streets were turned into rivers as the beleagured nation grappled with the after effects of a devastating earthquake and a deadly cholera outbreak.

As of 11 a.m. ET Saturday, Tomas was about 115 miles (185 kilometers) north-northeast of Grand Turk Island, according to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. The storm was moving northeast at 16 mph (26 kph) and carried maximum sustained winds of 65 mph (100 kph).

According to "Christina" none of these things would have happened to Haiti if the Haitians would have accepted the Bibles from the Christians that visited after the earthquake, because if they'd had faith it would have protected them. So why didn't the Christians show up before the earthquake and warn them to prevent all this from happening? It must be truly wonderful and comforting to know that due to having Christian faith that you are immune to the movements in the earths crust and harsh weather conditions...

First off sgt slaughter needs to take his meds who wants to listen to his hate filled diatribes much less hug him and if someone is a true CHRISTIAN they dont cast judgement much less blanket judgements on a whole countries of people trying to prophesy the condemnation of our creator on a people you know nothing about isnt that what jihadists do to us when they call us infedels step into the 21st century this isnt the crusades or the inquisition get over yourself God loves us all even you sarg and christina so maybe you could get off your hateful rediculous soapbox and try a little compassion

christina has an interesting perspective, in an old testament kind of way. This is the 21century, that was one sad comment. True compassion was absent in her blog.
