Michigan assistant AG fired after blogging against student

A Michigan assistant attorney general who started a blog against the University of Michigan's openly gay student body president has been fired, the state attorney general's office said Monday.

Michigan Assistant Attorney General Andrew Shirvell had taken a voluntary leave of absence earlier this fall after his blog garnered national media attention. Shirvell, a graduate of the university, took issue with what he called the student body president's "radical homosexual agenda."

Gays have parades and openly express their ideas. This AG expresses his idea in a blog. Freedom of speech for some, but not for others. Some of you idiots will never understand.

Oooops! My bad. Looks like I owe some folks an apology. I just saw a different article on the CNN site that cleared up why this guy was given the sack. It wasn't for PC reasons or anything else, it was that this guy had crossed a line from just harassment on the Net, but, physical harassment as well. That I can't tolerate anymore than the other posters here.

    Sorry, guys!

There are people that, when they realize they are wrong, take ownership of the mistake and say "Ooops...My bad." How many here can say that.
