George Bush's busy book tour

Former President George W. Bush continues to work the media circuit, promoting his 500-page memoir "Decision Points," which hits stores today.

The hourlong interview with NBC's Matt Lauer aired Monday, and Bush will join the network's "Today" show on Wednesday. Fox's Sean Hannity spent time at Bush's Crawford, Texas, for an interview that airs this week.

Oprah's pre-taped interview with Bush airs today. A preview clip shows Bush saying, "You're asking me to wade back into the swamp."

At 8 p.m. ET Sunday, CNN's Candy Crowley will interview the ex-president on "State of the Union."

Overall, there appears to be no topic Bush won't tackle, and he talks extensively about regrets he has regarding the war in Iraq and Hurricane Katrina. The Huffington Post gathered some of his quotes from the Hannity interview, including Bush admitting that he sometimes "didn't get my words right." That's all right, he said, because the public never elected "Shakespeare."

Addressing the Iraq war, Bush told Times of London that waterboarding saved British lives.

For actual criticism of the book, the Wall Street Journal offers a  run-down. Revered New York Times critic Michiko Kakutani said the memoir makes Bush seem "both oddly passive and strangely cavalier" while the Washington Post's Jonathan Yardley was more pointed, saying the memoir is "competent, readable and flat."

I think Linda Bradley and elclapper are living in a different world than the rest of us. Everybody knows Bush is an idiot. And if I had the chance to meet him I wouldnt be afraid to tell him that to his face. if anything I think Kanye West was nice compared to what I would say to him and millions of other Americans if we had the chace.

And to answer your question Linda Bradley yes I am black. Sorry to disapoint you. Maybe if you take off that white hood you could see what the rest of the world sees when it comes to Bush. Some of us actually have to work for a living and know what the real world is like. You Teabaggers are living in an "ALTERED STATE OF REALITY."

    2. He never flew a jet fighter that was his father and any pictures of GWB in any plane were phto opts. He was in the Air Force reserve and never served a day of duty.He was never a mayor or Gov of any State except TexasM He ran for several elected offices but lost.He won the Presidency on the electrol vote but lost the popular vote. He was a drunk until age 40. He was a liar then and is till a liar. His book was written by professionals all he did was dictate what we already new about him. George Bush is the worst president of all time. He's right ahead of Herbert Hoover.

Buuuu...

Compared to Obama, Bush is a brilliant statesman. How I miss those days of 5.5 percent unemployment, responsible government, having a U.S. President who actually loved America and was not trying to destroy all that is good about it. Most people really miss him now.

Patty's post is untruthful. Bush had far better grades and test scores than John Kerry, al gore (who actually flunked out of the seminary) and Obama. He won the presidency by both the electoral vote and the popular vote in 2004. Obama got into college and law school because of affirmative action, his grades and test scores were abominable. he did everything in the reserves that was demanded of him and he volunteered for service in Vietnam, contrary to the lies of the liberal media. Unlike the democrats, he did not have the help of the criminal group ACORN with his election. He is a bastian of integrity, contrary to the thugocracy currently in power.
