Ride on crippled cruise ship an adventure, couple says

Passengers onboard the stranded Carnival cruise ship Splendor say while this wasn't the vacation they signed up for, it was an adventure.

Joe and Donna Hobbs were on the ship and said after the first few hours of confusion they realized they were not in any danger. Joe Hobbs says he was looking forward to the legendary cruise ship buffets but instead was treated to some pretty interesting concoctions.

"Anything they could put between two pieces of bread, they did," said Hobbs. "I had a pork-n-beans sandwich," he said.

His wife even wrote an epic song about their experience. Listen to the story – words and music – here:

Actually, a pork and beans sandwich tastes good with tabasco sauce and/ketchup. But if you want a real treat, get two slices of bread and orange powdered Tang in the middle. It makes a great Tangwich.

Nice to hear a "real" story and not just those already planning their law suites.
This was an accident. Was anyone hurt? Was anyone put in any unreasonable risk?
These people should all be thankful it was a cruise ship and not an airplane.
I'm sorry their vacations were ruined- I hope they all took out the trip insurnace they were offered.

I love the wish sandwich. Two slices of bread and you wish you had some meat. Why not drop mres and call it a survival cruise? Or break out the fishing gear.

If i was on the cruise i most likely would go back if it was like a adventure i would just bring some of my magical plant then it would be a party buh i think an island would be better i think it would be real kool if that was a trip leave some people on a island and let them stay there for two or three weeks it would be a thrill who agrees with me on this???

Good Lord, it was a great trip that had a accident...not planned or scheduled....just a accident. It is not like they were all in Haiti, now there is some real suffering, don't you think?????

The stench from the overflowing toilets was awful. The smell of unine and B.O.was everywhere! I imagine It must of been very similar to attending a Star Wars convemtion
