Haiti's cholera death toll passes 900

The death toll from Haiti's month-old cholera outbreak has passed 900 and continues to grow.

According to statistics released by the Haitian Ministry of Health Sunday, 917 people have died from the bacteria, while there have been some 14,642 hospitalizations.

More ominous, is the spread of cholera through the squalid camps that still house hundreds of thousands of people in the Haitian capital 10 months after a killer earthquake shattered this city.

It is sad to read that God has judged Haiti so harshly.

    God and Jesus, forgive them.

Why doesn't the Haitian Elite pay for solving some of the Health problems in Haiti? Don't they believe in charity?

God bless you, Jacmell for asking that Haitian leaders of finance contribute to heal God's children.

Certainly, the gates of Heaven will open for thee.

Sgt. Slaughter, you must remember liberals are children of the lord. He promiseth his glory and the glory of Heaven to all men who open their hearts to the Lord.

You have served the Lord well, sgt.

I remember when you fought for our liberty with GI Joe in the eighties, right next to William "The Refrigerator" Perry. You have done a great service to your country and the Lord God.

Please forgive your fellow men and continue to eat your vegetables with Hulk Hogan. We love you.

    The lord is king.

Great, I got that "excited/scared" feeling. Like 98% excited, 2% scared. Or maybe it's more – It could be two – it could be 98% scared, 2% excited but that's what makes it so intense, it's so – confused. I can't really figure it out.

some biblical scientists believed that the 3 days darkness in egypt that happened in the time of moses was caused by ash falls from a volcanic eruption of a city nearby. and they further believed that the tremors as result of the eruptions disturbed the locusts that's why (locusts) they went out and plagued the whole city.

in the case of cholera in haiti, it occured 10 months since the killer quake. I think health ministries should work hand in hand with geologist to trace the main cause of the outbreak. It must be the water source or something.

For god's sakes think about what you're doin'. Why are you listening to someone that's a hundred thousand miles away? We're here. No body down there can help us. So if we don't get this job done, then everybody's gone.

This is a benign neglect of Holocaust proportions! What happened to all of those millions upon milions of dollars collected and publicized? Is this a prolonged Katrina? How can the United States and the world stand by and allow such sustained dying, misery and suffering? The United States can invade and occupy foreign countries under the false pretense of Weapons of Mass Destructions, but cannot effectively come to the aid of a people threaten with mass destruction like we have neve witnessed in the region? Something is very amiss here. Please pray for these poor people and contact your U.S. Congressional Representative and Senators regarding this calamity.
