Barbara Bush gives her opinion of Sarah Palin

It appears that Sarah Palin does not have much of a fan in Barbara Bush.

In an interview on CNN's Larry King Live, the former first lady said she once sat next to Alaska's one-time governor.

Her impression?

"Thought she was beautiful.ย And she's very happy in Alaska," Bush said, chuckling. "I hope she'll stay there."

She made the remarks in an interview with CNN's Larry King scheduled to air Monday at 9 p.m. ET. Tune in to catch Bush and husband, former President George H.W. Bush, talk politics, Junior's book, and the Tea Party.

Your right. Sarah Palin doesn't need to be a politician, she's an American who cares about her country. The Bush family did everything they could to trash it.

Sara Palin is a cross between Joe McCarthy and Elmer Gantry. Joe McCarthy was the paranoid politician from Wisconsin in the 1950s who thought communists were under everyone's bed and Elmer Gantry is Sinclair Lewis' corrupt character who used peoples' simple faith in God for his own material gain. That's Sister Sara, allright.

How is Sara different? She can't string two words together, but never fear, string pullers like the people from Fox News will make sure she's chock full of sound-bite lies.

Hey Fred, Do you really believe that this mob has a clue as to what you are refering to; Sinclair Lewis,? You've got to be kidding. I suppose by claiming that Sarah Palin is analogous to the likes of a book character, it would naturally follow that the present pretender to the throne can be compared to Richard Condon's character,Raymond Shaw. Just to be fair, I have often felt that John McCain and John Kerry could fit that bill also. The problem with Joe McCarthy was that he wasn't wrong, he just went too far to make his case...Like Pelosi and that herd of followers she controls. Joe did flush out some of the Reds in the government, such as many friends of comrad Alger Hiss. Just the fact that the name McCarthy is reviled among present day as well as older commies proves he was right.

Didn't Bristol's baby daddy Levi get elected as a mayor in Alaska? Everything about the guy says slimeball, but he had the cover page on a tabloid, so that makes him qualified. I'm not impressed with Alaskan voters. I don't think Palin is really a giant moron. It takes a pretty smart cookie to know that she can be a millionaire by catering to partisan tards. Anyone wanna buy a book? Tighten up your belts while my privileged family lives off of you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey Former Prez Bush, The tea Party is made of Common everyday people... and tell Barbara, Sarah will make a better president than her husband or her son.!. She will clean house and it may just take a Mama Grizzly to do that. Can't wait to cast my vote for her. Just wish Sean Hannity was on the same ticket...

You can tell by the post that this is definately a left wing audience. You're all afraid of Sarah Palin, Look how many people she stumped for and helped them get elected. She is NO puppet for Fox News or any one else, She's a mighty powerful woman. Trash her if you like but shes here to stay and may just be YOUR president in the near future. GO SARAH! We Love you!

Barbara Bush was the reason President Bush was not reelected. That ridiculous white hair of hers got old real quick. Plus she was overweight and quite frankly not too bright.
Sarah Palin is in a league high above her. It's easy to see how Barbara Bush would be jealous of Sarah Palin.

Maybe Barbara sees someone that might get in the way of son Jeb's run at the WH. It was her son and her husband's cronies that got us into 2 wars not counting Sr's Kuwait adventure. I am not really interested in her comments.

@Raymond: I'm an independent who is tired of left vs right. If I disagree with you that makes me liberal? See where your brain is? You've been programmed by the media. Anyone that disagrees with a certain candidate is always dismissed as an agent of a partisan smear campaign, or called crazy. Be glad the independents don't have a primary otherwise your Mama Grizzly would be in permanent hibernation.

I honestly don't disagree with nudging people to doing things on their own without government help, but there are no decent jobs out there. Even if someone is lucky enough to find a job it's probably not going to pay well or give overtime. Mrs.Palin is missing the big picture. I'd kill for 2 jobs right now, but they are not out there. We need to lower taxes on manufacturing and end outsourcing by making it very expensive for American companies to practice it.
