North Korea warns of more attacks

North Korea will launch additional attacks on South Korea if it continues "reckless military provocation," North Korean state media said Thursday.

The Korean People's Army "will deal without hesitation the second and third strong physical retaliatory blow," if South Korea provokes the country by, for example, firing shells into the north's side of the West Sea.

The statement also addressed the U.S.'s role in the conflict, saying "the U.S. would be well advised to drop its inveterate bad habit of pulling up others, falsifying the truth about the situation."

    I would be happy to see the NK government go, and the shelling was probably planned, but the sea border on the west side of the peninsula is unfair and unreasonable to NK. The present sea border guarantees confrontation. The sea border should be redrawn to be fair and reasonable, probably with a DMZ, and the small number of civilians involved could choose N or S citizenship. It would be simpler if they were one country. They need food but there should be no aid to NK as long as they are hostile; they will sensibly view it as tribute. If they want food, require they do major change first.

      What do you suggest? That we give the Islands to North Korea? They will still find a way to antagonize. It's not about the freakin islands! It's about North Korea looking for ways to bully the South. When they blew up an airliner and attempted two assassinations in the past, it was not over the maritime border. In any case, one of the artillery positions that North Korea fired from was an island! Quit looking for reasons to villianize the South Korea and the U.S.

    It has to be said that this conflict would be vicio
    us I would not underestimate the norths ability to launch a shock and awe typr of attack with huge loss of life.the north han a one million army willing to die for dear leader, while the south also has the us to support it and I welcome that,the north has a lot to loose and nothing to gain so I say be careful north you might get what you wish for,and the outcome would not be good, philip

    Do you keep food from your own children until you're behavior changes? The citizens of NK aren't the problem. (duh)Why would you want them to starve until their fat grredy politicians do your mythical "major change". Humanitarian Aid goes where it is needed in spite of people with your point of view.

    It seems to be a common view in this thread that N. Korea's people should be left to go hungry because of what their crooked leaders are doing. Fine. Then you "Ranglers" no food for you until Rangel changes his ways. Ditto anyone who voted for DeLay. And that's just lately. There would not be an obesity epidemic in America if food was withheld from those who supported crooked politicians. Get it? Probably not.

    The reason Shwinn bycicles are made in China is workers live 50 to a room and make $1.50 a day. That wage is up from .50 a year ago. Now if we can force China to keep increasing wages by devaluing the dollar soon they will have to buy products from us.
    Of course more than 11 percent of our population would have to be employed in manufacturing.
    This is the only real path to making the parent of North Korea suffer for kicking our a s s at everything.

    Ever wonder why NK is having the hell of guts and confident and become bully? China is secretly behind its back and waited U.S. to make a wrong move. They already checked U.S. in terms of economics and they're using (NK) pawn as bait to pin (US) the king for a checkmate.

      But Seriously U.S. should be careful in stepping onto this matter. China is full of deceit.

      NK and China as well will never win a military war against US but the former's nuke and other artillery could cripple US. And also US if heavily provoked could go reckless against NK that could result to U.N condemning or pulling out their support for US. Then China could easily go for the kill.
