Tom DeLay convicted in money-laundering trial

A Texas jury on Wednesday convicted former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay on charges of illegally funneling corporate money to help elect GOP candidates to the Texas legislature.

DeLay was found guilty on charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering, said jury bailiff Gilbert Soto.

DeLay was charged with illegally funneling $190,000 in corporate money to help elect Republicans to the state House and Senate in 2002. At the outset of the trial, he predicted the jury would clear him.

Power is what slayed DeLay, you could see it in his eyes. Can't say anything too good about his wife either, she always appear to think her ...... didn't stink and had her nose in the air. Justice deserved, put that on DeLays headstone.

I just saw the movie "casino" wich is based on a true story about Tom DeLay back when he was a house speaker and got tied into the Jack Abramoff fraud scandal. These guys are like leeches they suck out all the blood and personally hand you over to the decomposers. They deserve to rot in prison!

Delay says his conviction is a miscarriage of justice. Sorry, pal! Justice has been served. This reafirms my belief that the good always win over the bad.

Phone lines are going to be smokin' from Texas to DC and half the corporate offices in the country. DeLay will be calling in every favor, reaching out to every friend or anyone he can threaten or bribe to keep his fanny out of jail. Fox will no doubt be up in arms about this and Limbaugh's gonna give birth. Nameless men who were never there will be delivering offers and cryptic messages to politicians, backroom financiers, and probably the FBI and Justice Dept. Tom Delay has a thousand friends and a million secrets, and he will swap them all to save himself. Stay tuned!

      Cowboy says:

"the democrats want to pass laws for us to live by but yet they don't follow their own rules.."

You mean like Livingstone, Hyde, Gingrich and Burton wanting to impeach Clinton over a BJ when they had father illegitimate children while married to other people?
