S. Korean defense minister resigns; North threatens additional attacks

South Korean Defense Minister Kim Tae-young resigned Thursday, according to the South Korean presidency, two days after North Korea shelling left four South Koreans dead.

"The president has just accepted the defense minister's resignation," according to a spokesman for the Presidential Blue House.

Kim, a former general, came under heavy criticism after the March sinking of the South Korean vessel Cheonan and again after North Korea struck the South's Yeonpyeong Island on Tuesday.

    Ever wonder why NK is having the hell of guts and confident and become bully? China is secretly behind its back and waited U.S. to make a wrong move. They already checked U.S. in terms of economic warfare. And now in military warfare they're using (NK) pawn as bait to pin (US) the king for a checkmate.

    King's Gambit. We have the power not the Chinese! We are the buyers of what they are manufacting. We do not have to buy from them. We can convert over to making the products ourselves. There will be a transition period in which people go without things but no one will die from it.
    In the end the Chinese will lose their American cash cow.
