Shooting at Taiwan rally wounds former V.P.'s son

The son of former Taiwan Vice President Lien Chan was wounded and another person was killed by bullets fired at a political rally Friday night, according to Taiwan's Central News Agency.

The gunshot wound to Lien Chan's son's right temple is not believed to be life-threatening, the report said. It did not give the son's name or the identity of the civilian who was killed.

A suspect, who is believed to be a local gang member, was arrested with a gun and 48 rounds of ammunition, the report said.

"I will let God take care of my son, Taiwan, and the public," Lien Chan told reporters.

CNN in Taiwan is biased in case no one noticed, they are pro-DPP and has been trying to topple the KMT government for decades. Do a search on this mid term election results on CNN's website, you will not find anything because KMT won 3 out of 5 cities. CNN needs to fire its entire staff in Taiwan, they are the terrorists.

The victim/former VP's son was shot and it was a failed attempt to assasinate him in public. However, CNN is downplaying this because the victim is KMT, and not the violence prone DPP thats in bed with CNN in Taiwan. SAD day for new agencies everywhere...

The shooter is member of KMT affiliated gang, a descendant of Dictator Chiang Kai-Shek's infamous Green Gang. His nickname is 'Ma-faced', resembling Chinese Nationalist Party Chairman Mark Ma.

Theatric is one Chinese specialty. This shoot serves to warn Taiwaner supporters of Chinese Nationalist Regime to mobilize votes else face the consequences.

  9. Magic Bullet

The bullet, according to Taiwanese pro KMT media, entered the left medial cheek, shattered the facial bones to 300+ pieces, exited the right temple, yet did not injure the eye, the facial nerve, and the trigeminal nerve. This is a magic bullet that defied physical law, curved in its path to avoid important anatomy. Also, according to the hospital's spokesperson – one of the most prominent hospital in Taiwan, the injured patient significanlty improved in 4 days after injury, was able to walk, talk, and eat (chewed on bread), with no need for major reconstructive surgery and no worry for altered facial feature. His recovery is nothing short of a miracle, given the reported extensive injury. Any one with any medical training (or just common sense) can tell that the KMT media had grossly exaggerated the injury in order to manipulate the voters. Perhaps, it is reasonable to consider the possibility that this was all staged by KMT. What a shame. What a shame...........

I think so too, CNN is more favor on DPP, even on reporting on A Bian's corruption charge by adding that A Bian supporting Taiwan independ and Ma is more tie with China. These are political issue, nothing to do with corruption charge, I wonder why CNN is not reporting that A Bian's 2 properties in US is seizing by US court???
