Diplomats try to head off hostilities in Koreas

Diplomats worked to ease tensions in the Koreas on Saturday after North Korea warned of unpredictable "consequences" if the United States fulfills its vow of deploying an aircraft carrier to the Yellow Sea for joint military maneuvers with South Korea.

China's foreign minister spoke with his Russian, U.S., and Japanese counterparts, and a Chinese representative visited Seoul as envoys underscored the need to lower the temperature in the longtime flash-point region, days after four South Koreans died when North Korea shelled Yeonpyeong Island.

So who supplies N. Korea with uranium for their nuclear program?

Hint: while the supplier remained the same, the route by wich NK obtained uranium changed after the Bush admin's first energy bill was passed.

That's the way to go. The last thing everybody(the right-wing thugs in Washington excluded,of course) needs is another war. Let's just hope diplomacy succeeds.

He's just sitting there in front of his mom's computer. It looks like it's her bedroom, but there's a cot in the corner. Zooming in on the's covered with cat hair. And I can see a Barbi doll head next to the pillow. Wait. He's getting up and...scratching his butt. He's pounding on the keyboard again so i'm gonna go see what he posted.

Huh. The computer isn't even on, but he's pounding on the keyboard yelling "where are my generals". Now he's looking under his cot. He's got a plastic bag full of old GI Joe toys. He's jumping up and down. "My generals! I found my precious generals". Now he's asking his mom where she hid the lighter fluid.

If China wanted to calm things down maybe they should tell N. Korean leaders not to act like a bunch of @$$es.

The neither S. Korea nor the US decided to sink a ship belonging to the other side and then shoot artillery shells for the fun of it this year, can N. Korea honestly say the same?

Screw the diplomats. Just pull out people out and let those idiots kill each other off. South Korea never shoulda been an 'ally' anyway. The only reason we defended their regime in the Korean War is because of the 'red scare'. Now all that ignorance is continuing to haunt us.
