Uh, why does anyone bother arresting Willie Nelson for pot any more? Doesn't he have enough THC in his system to make him illegal anywhere he goes? Still, it is quite unintelligent for him to carry at the border. Dumb. We shouldn't all have to pay for his stupidity with federal charges. Just let him go.

Any law enforcement officer that arrests someone for Marijuana LITERALLY deserves to have their head cut off, i'm not joking. Those same law enforcement officers to home at the end of the day and have a beer, which is 1000 times more dangerous than Marijuana.

I suppose the government has found its next war to distract us all, The War on Willie Nelson !! Such a danger, such a challenge. Meanwhile under their feet 10 more tunnels are being dug and tons of pot are being successfully conveyed into the country with contraband-like price tags attached. But hey, at least you ripped that dimebag out of ol' willies hands, right??

Marijuana is still illegal. You can't run around bragging about your illegal activities and expect to escape justice. Scofflaws will be arrested and prosecuted.

You state that like Marijuana "should" be illegal... Maybe you are one of the very few that still think that Marijuana is more dangerous than Alcohol or fast food... Strange indeed, since the tools are at your fingertips to find out the facts on drugs, yet you choose to ignore then, putting innocent people like willie nelson in jail for no reason..

Culo, we're not just supporting 'drugs' here; we're saying marijuana is quite harmless, and so is Willie Nelson. Why bother arresting a harmless old man for possesing something he's had for the last 70 years or so! Is the objective to show a good example of law enforcement?!? So don't say "we're ridiculous people" Regarding your next comment "society is f-up enough . . ." if you think society is hopeless, I suggest you go to another planet and give yourself a break from this f-up society

Its a shame law enforcement in America are still arresting people over a plant that is less harmful than a McDonalds hamburger, yet these same officers go home and drink alcohol which kills over 100,000 people each year.. Why are people not arrested for posessing Alcohol?

I see your point. But, it's a bad argument. The same MADD crowd would also like to make alcohol illegal. And, you are giving them ammunition.

So much money and time spent on MaryJane ... legalize it already . I wish the police could concentrate on the thugs and other "real criminals" instead of this rather benign drug.

Why should one man be able to tell another man what they can and cant do if it doesnt harm or benefit anyone but himself. We are talking about a harmless plant that grows seed pods (unless it doesnt get pollinated false seed pods) covered with a sticky substance called thc that in nature protects the buds but are also enjoyable and benficial to humans. Unfortuantely this plant is too beneficial for society and would eliminate half the known medicines on the planet.
