Country singer Willie Nelson was arrested Friday on charges of marijuana possession by the U.S. Border Patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas, CNN has confirmed.
No further details were available, and a message left for Nelson's publicist has not been returned.
haha @CJ hilarious. Don't make a grammatical error when mocking the grammar of others. Accept/except.
@crickett n.c. Nope not affecting anyone....accept of course for your language, spelling, and grammatical errors
I'm so happy they arrested him and I hope the the Feds makes an example out of him since he's a celebrity. Willie Nelson has used his status to flaunt his illegal marijuana use and advocacy for a long time and it's repugnant to normal Americans.
You consider yourself a normal American? I thought Americans were for freedoms... go figure...
OMG you are a moron.
It's idiots with your mentality that perpetuate this nonsense!
Instead of busting 77 year-old musicians and fondling airplane passengers, why doesn't our government do something useful for its citizens?
Willie is not 77 he is 82 and it is still Bushes fault.
Fuk this government. Bunch of tyrannical, hypocritical LIARS, CROOKS AND THIEVES, and this 'bust' is supposed to make them LOOK like they're "protecting & serving?"
Just another ploy for the liberals to extort money from the poor old guy. Uncle Sams method of neutering Americans. You rock B.O. great job securing our boarders!!
you blame liberals for our drug laws? what planet do you live on? Conservatives have always been the most anti-drug people.
Legalize it!
Really??! We wasted time, effort, and money on this? STUPID!
There is a inspection station that everyone traveling east on I-10 has to go through. They have drug sniffing dogs that check most vehicles. Anyone who travels through there regularly ( like Willie ) knows this. Begs to question; why go there?.
drown all pot smokers and criminals
You're a fuking idiot.
the Middle East shall rise again.
Rise up in smoke and fire maybe. LIGHT'm UP!
Why does everyone thing Willie is above the law? Just because he's famous he thinks he can snub the law. If we all have to straighten up and fly right so should he. He's not above the law.
What about those of us who think that this 'specific' 'law' is retarded, and completely disagree with it, to the point of, I refuse to abide by it because its completely immoral and the only people who are against the legalization of marijuana are complete f*ing hypocrites?
yo yo, wad up my whity mofos. kma
BIG effin deal......our countrty is wasting away....
I got a big fattie right here and now, who wants a hit? David and all you other non believers...shut off the TV and go out and see the world its not on that flat screen ya see....Get a life... Get a clue
I do, you got coke and guns too? where you live?
I'm just kickin' back myself and prep'n me a nice pile of some home grown TRAIN WRECK! OH YEAH BABY!!! And I got guns...but gave up coke years ago. Just makes my heart pound too fast. I don't like it. Plus, when I did it, it had the "let's just do one more" syndrome. But now this bud here...This bud will cure ALLLLLLL that ails me! And then some!
BaWONNNNNNNNNGZZZzzzz AWAY!
our country is also....:)
Come on ppl he was smoking near a checkpoint while carrying 6 ounces. Dumb on his part, he's done this for too many years to make a rookie mistake like that. And that's alot of pot for personal, touring or not... you don't need that much. And he was smoking so he probably had a half pound. Why? Plus he's out on bail and can afford the fines...
Exactly. Famous people get such a big break from the citizens of this country. Leave him alone because he's famous? That's BS. Where's the critical thinking in this comments thread?
I think he might have done it on purpose. He already knew exactly how much the fine would be and also knew it was a drop in the pail of what he's worth. He did it purposefully to bring more awareness...and make those border patrols look like the fuk'n FOOLS they are!
LEGALIZE IT! (we do it anyway! TAX FREE!!!!)
