I’m sure he’ll change his ways after he’s forced to take some class where a social worker making $25K a year tells him “only losers use drugs”.

Takin' a shot at social workers? Been forced to meet with too many in your life?

DJBanker, I don't have a problem with all social workers, just those who lie about pot to the very people who pay their salaries.

This is evidence that either pot is addictive or this stupid SOB just can't grow up. How many times does he have to be arrested for possession of marijuana before he understands that it is illegal. Willie Nelson is so ignorant that he never learns. He is not someone who I want for a role model for my kids or anyone else !!!!!!!

You, my idiot are the problem with what is wrong with this country. While Tome Delay commits bank laundering of money and conspiracy while in the national Congress you want to enforce BAD LAWS that only put harmless people in jail wasting tax payer money. You are an idiot.

Agreed. You're an idiot Kim. Way to back up your "hypothesis" with absolutely no evidence whatsoever to support your claim. Willie Nelson is a living legend. Show some respect.

Yeah, because clearly the problem is that Willie Nelson does not "understand" that pot is illegal... There's no way the problem is that people like you can't comprehend "live and let live". I'll bet you think that alcohol prohibition would have worked too, if you had been around to explain it to people.

KM...wow. Please keep posting things like that. I think it is helpful that people like you identify themselves. Are there more like you where you come from? If so, could you all agree to some sort of symbol, or wardrobe so that the rest of us can steer clear of you on the streets? Swasitkas and white sheets are already taken, but I am sure your razor sharp reasoning will come up with something apropos – maybe a giant letter "S", or chainmail chaps...think about it, huh?

You are an idiot. Do you drink wine, beer or any other drug? What's wrong with you?
Leagalize pot, tax it and put the drug dealers and gangs out of business!

Do you think he is getting his pot from the most violent region of Mexico through the tunnels into San Diego?

Nelson probably has a lot to teach you, your kids and your friends. He is a great artist, an American Icon as sid before

Willie is smarter than all of us. Every time his populaity starts to wane a bit, he gets himself arrested and in so doing gets 10 million new fans and defenders. KM, you should read the entire blog. It has literally become one of the greatest tributes to a remarkably gifted and giving person that I've ever seen or read.
Willie, you devil you. You fooled them again. Bet they all wanted your autograph or asked you to go get Trigger and sing them a song or two.

Dude they are busting a known pot smoker with his own stash but yet there are still tons and tons of pot getting across. While they may bust 20 tons of pot 80 more tons are getting through. Why don't they worry about getting the tons and put the resources that this has caused towards getting those tons instead of 1 or 2 ounces that he probably had that were his own stash. The government has got all it's priorities backwards.

Who gives a crap about people smoking pot. Really. 99 percent of people smoke weed. Good god. Freedom of speech. Freedom of smoke. Way more serious things to worry bout. Other countries dont send u to jail for pot. Sad america. Way uptight. If it was legal u all wouldnt know how to act. Shoot

Stunned, can you cite your source on 99% of people smoking weed? I don't smoke anything, but do not have a problem with those who do. I think it's a waste of resources to not legalize it and let the powers of law look for better things to do. But to make a claim of 99% smoke, seems baseless.

Ummmm...I'm pretty sure that when he said "99%" of people smoke pot that he meant it figuratively and to illustrate a point. Way to get lost in the details....are you all stoned now.

99% of people in this country probably don't smoke weed; and it probably is not realistic to say that 99% do NOT. Sorry if I disapponted anyone. Get your head out of the sand.

This is ridiculous and huge waste of tax payer resources. Willie Nelson is NOT dangerous to anyone or even to himself. If the old Gentleman wants to smoke a little weed instead of drinking a few beers then let the man enjoy the remainder of his life in peace. Post is no worse than alcohol or cigarettes and should not be illegal. It is only you right wing morally holier than though nut jobs that continue to regurgitate the rhetoric of the Reagan Regime that continue to waste all of our tax pay money fighting something that is benign and not a threat to society or mankind. You talk about balancing the budgets but then want to continue spending money on building nuclear bombs and arresting people for smoking pot.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE every now and then and stop burying your heads in a bunch of outdated political mind swill. LEGALIZE POT NOW!

Sierra Blanca is a regular checkpoint for Border Patrol and Willie should have known that. That said, why is marijuana still illegal? Because they can't figure out how to legalize it and tax it?
The physical effects are similar to whiskey, except you never want to fight. Just munch, get a little and mellow out. And that's a problem?
God makes marijuana - man makes whiskey. Who do you trust?
