Singer Willie Nelson arrested on pot charges
Country singer Willie Nelson was arrested Friday on charges of marijuana possession by the U.S. Border Patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas, CNN has confirmed.
No further details were available, and a message left for Nelson's publicist has not been returned.

Sorry things are SO dangerous on the border that the feds have to target Willie's TOUR BUS. What a joke. The guy's almost 78, still writing and performing and raising lots of money for charity. Yeah, that pot smoking's really made him a dangerous character. Free Willie! Great Slogan!
Yes, because Dee Ann can think of no better way to use her hard-earned dollars than to pay for the enforcement, incarceration, & courts costs of folks who are hurting no one but themselves (if even that).

Um, Willie is quite open that he smokes marijuana. During his last interview on Larry King he stated that he smoked prior to being interviewed. He's even admitted that he smoked at the White House but the only thing he won't tell is who he smoked with (before anyone screams Obama, it was supposedly during the Reagan administration). Those who act like this is something new and shocking really should pay more attention.
The story was that he smoked on the roof with Jimmy Carter.
Willie is just the guy to galvanize an effort by the common man to overcome pot prohibition. He's charismatic, successful, and very popular. Not exactly the poster boy for showing that pot is as evil as some would have us believe.
Artists have been doing all kinds of drugs for centuries; thats what they do. Pot is hardly a drug.
Really stupid! Get a life already and stop worrying about the pot habits of others.

Alcoholics beat their loved ones, kill people on the highway, and end up driving up health insurance fees as their livers deteriorate. I can't think of anyone who smoked a joint and beat someone, recklessly drove at a high speed (in fact, they go too slow), or ended up with serious health problems.
No way, Miguel! You're Hispanic, I presume, so let me tell you this: I have incurred WAY more bodily damage by ingesting a hot burrito than by smoking a bowl. A bowl never made me burn from both ends! I say ban burritos! They hurt way more!

It is a fact that Fast food and alcohol are far worse than weed. I heard a WHO say, it's not as bad for you as sugar. Your perspective is soooo 1950.... As long as the driver is sober, who cares!
I have know many pot heads in my life, I'm a sober guy so let me tell you this. I've never seen any pot head get violent and hurt someone. Most a pot head will do is eat your chips, alcohol is far far far more dangerous. I have yet to see pot ruin a persons life (aside from jail) like you see with booze or even McD's.
You don't loose your mind smoking pot either. But you might get a little relaxed and sleep really well. Don't talk about things you know nothing about.
Who loses their mind on weed? I've seen people lose their mind on various substances–mostly booze. I've definitely never once seen anyone lose their mind on weed or even on LSD, for that matter. I have seen a lot in the 20 years my husband has been active in the music business. People drive poorly under the influence of booze, but the weed smokers are careful to an extreme–very slow and deliberate. don't knock it till you smoke it, m'dear, and then you may go ahead and share with us your newly acquired knowledge. No offense intended, and cheers Just stay away from blow and meth and the like. That stuff is the devil's dandruff.
I've never heard of a stoner hurting any body either...compared to a drunk driver. Has anybody ever actually died from an overdose of pot? LOL.
First off I dont smoke pot and probably will never do so, but I think people should be allowed to do so if they choose to.
As to losing your mind to pot I have never seen an example of that.

pot isn't a drug; it is an herb. and some people on this forum are dopes.I have never met a single pot smoker who was a murderer or a rapist. But I've sure met a lot of abstainers who are chronically ignorant.
Well said Mr. Wilson. This has been the case here in the USA for a couple of decades now really. And very few people have been able to realize this. We have probably passed that point of no return. Even if everyone in America woke upo tomorrow morning with a clear minds-eye view of how things really are, it would still be too late to change for the better. Where do we go from here? (pls don't give me any 'never too late' lectures)
