Traveling in southern AZ, I ran into several border patrol road blocks.
They just stop every car, look inside and see if you are white or brown.
It felt very, very much like I no longer lived in America.

That's why I moved out of Southern California after living there for twenty years. If you wanted to speak Spanish and have neighbors that cram five families into a single family home and raise chickens and goats in their back yard I would have moved to Mexico. Instead Mexico moved to me.

@thunder: Actually California was originally part of Mexico. We bought it from them and the Mexicans who were living here at the time came with the deal. I guess my point is your prejudice is not only idiotic, it is misplaced as well.

Isn't this basically as easy as a patrol car following his tour bus around?

When we don't even have the 'right' to make decisions about what we do with our own bodies, then what 'rights' do we really have?! "Land of the free..." yeah.

Except dopers don't just adversely impact themselves. They become burdens on society, and a drain on our financial resources.

Wow, that's a pretty chicken-%$%& arrest right there. We have drug cartels murdering 100's of people a month and funneling millions in cocaine across the border, and they arrest Willie for a personal bag of pot. I wonder how many drugs made it past that checkpoint while the whole precinct was taking pictures of themselves arresting Willie. Thanks for wasting my tax dollars, you worthless cops.

Ok, I grew up listening to Willie and Waylon. Willie has always lived his life how he wants to live it. And if he wants to smoke pot, so be it. Considering his age, and knowing that pot and Willie go hand in hand, he must be doing something right. I haven't heard a thing about him having heart attacks, strokes, or anything else that you normally see in people his age. Leave the man alone. I don't tell other people how to live their lives. Personally, I would love to have the chance to visit the ghost town he owns. He doesn't bother anyone...Willie is Willie...so let him be!!!

I really cant believe this is what our law enforcement is worried about!! Good ol' Willie, he creates a lot of crime doesnt he? The war on Pot has gotten completely out of control!! These are the most laid back people in the states !! To the law enforcement please go catch murderers, rapists, kidnappers, burglers. . . . For heavens sake not Willy !!!!

This is crazy. With the financial state of our country, you would think that our government could see how much money is being wasted on putting people in jail for pot and how much money could be made by legalization and taxes. Will Washington DC just wake up and smell the logic!
