Singer Willie Nelson arrested on pot charges
Country singer Willie Nelson was arrested Friday on charges of marijuana possession by the U.S. Border Patrol in Sierra Blanca, Texas, CNN has confirmed.
No further details were available, and a message left for Nelson's publicist has not been returned.
Just legalize it already!

This would have been far more newsworthy if they'd caught Nelson without pot.

I'm sure this is part of a bigger sweep. They are probably going to try to flip Willie and roll up the whole organization. This could be the crack in the case that leads to the final eradication of marijuana in North America. The war on drugs is making progress finally!!!

And yet, he was caught in illegal possession of a controlled substance. Being a good person or a productive member of society does not make it ok to ignore the law. And really, why are people surprised he was caught? He's a repeat offender, AND he's a celebrity so he draws attention to himself just by going outside. Willie Nelson crossing over from Mexico? Red flag right there if you're looking for possession of pot.
Why is this news ? It's Willie Nelson. I'd be shocked if he didn't have weed on him.
