Arresting Willie Nelson for marijuana is like arresting me for breathing. The "war on drugs" beingn waged by this country is not only ineffective, its counterproductive. Legalize it, regulate, tax it and the cartels will be out of business like the bootleggers of Prohibition. If you don't have the stomach for that, then we need to start locking up all the users. No demand, no supply, Basic law of captalism.

Normal Americans are over-policed. Police are not busting the crimminals because that is hard. Just look at our gang problem. They don't even go after people with warrants. Instead, they pass laws that allow the police to stop just about everyone (seat belts, speed traps, short yellow lights) and then check for warrants. What business of the police is it if Willie smokes pot, or Arnold does steriods, or I don't wear a seatbelt (I do BTW)? How about busting the crimminals and leave us alone?

The Fed's love Willie's money! And the streets of Texas are safer because of this, right? WRONG!!!! You want to hit the drug cartel where it hurts: Legalize it, and let us grow our own and produce medical marijuana...That would boost the economy. But then again that would make sense and that is the one thing Washington does not want!!! I say 2012 election should be Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp for America!!! They could and would do a great job for America. Remember what they do/did for the Farmers!!!
