Why would people think that the cartel would "roll up and die" if pot was legal, it's not the only drug they deal with, its just the cheapest. If they didn't make money on pot they would just increase the supply and demand on cocaine and other more harmful drugs.

Big deal.. He's always smoked pot. That was just an easy arrest for those officers. That's like pulling over a nascar driver and giving him a ticket for speeding.. DUH!!! this is NOT news.

Major crime story? Hardly. Why do authorities spend so much time/effort on these kinds of things? It must be to intimidate or to score points in some political lottery. It's so tiresome to read of yet another "coup" by the border patrol; they are hard put to succeed in the often important (albeit questionable) nonsense called immigration law. I also read today that a Hilton was charged with cocaine possession. It will be interesting to see how (badly?) the two cases are handled in our failed justice system. A little creative disorder would seem preferable to too little equity and to too much order.

I think Larry King needs to interview Willie on this latest bust or hassel. I hope he dosent go to jail. If I was the cop that busted him, I"d feel very embarrassed. This is probably going to help legalize marijuana.

I will rest easy now in my home knowing that willie nelson and tommy chong have been punished for such a serious crime as smoking pot in the comfort of your own home/tour bus. These criminals need to be off the street! Be damned if our prisons are severly overcrowded with non violent offenders, these guys need to be taught a lesson! pot smoking is just the beginning, next these guys will be jay-walking or littering.

Vard, get serious. There are much more serious things going on in this world. Smoking pot is miniscule and has no serious consequenses in comparion to alcohol.
