Every once in a while, Willie gets stoned and forgets to mail the payola to the man. The man sniffs him out to remind him who is boss. You go, Willie. By the way, does Wonder Woman still get it on?

Any free thinking American will ask why pot is illegal. Look up what happened in the 1930's. Pot is a huge threat to big business.
What do people do when they smoke pot? They relax with their friends, laugh and get the munchies. Now how about alcohol? They get loud and obnoxious, violent sometimes. Pot is a gentle drug. It does NOT do the damage that alcohol and other drugs can do!
    Wake up people!

It's a known fact that weed is safer than cigarettes, yet the government spend millions in enforcing it as an illegal substance. Why? Because alcohol companies don't want a cheaper alternative to getting high.

When someone opens their comments with "It's a known fact . . ." you know the methane level in the air is going to skyrocket and break the meter.

The truth is marijuana has more carcinogens than tobacco, and users are 9.5x more likely to be involved in a motor vehicle collision than non-users.

All growers/manufacturers/distributors are committed to one thing: personal gain at the cost of a degraded society. All the aforementioned criminals responsible for providing dope (yes, the substance and the users are of one definition – for it takes a dope to use dope) should be prosecuted for capital crimes. Dope has no legitimate place in our country. It is a social and financial drain on our society. The entire world would be far better off without those who supply the emotionally weak and socially defiant with dope.

Isn't busting Willie for pot like shooting fish in the barrel? Don't Border Agents have something better to do? Like stopping or at least slowing the million of illegals that cross the border every year, or stopping or at least slowing unknown tons of dangerous drugs (like heroin cocaine, and meth etc )that cross border every day. One can't grow coca here to my knowledge. So, the crack dealers I see downtown have to get somewhere.

Well, given Willies' annual experience with this I should think he would have become more saavy over the years unless...can't be...a lifetime of marijuana abuse has rendered him stupid.

Yeah Willie! Move to San Diego. If your music career turns sour you can always work in the tunnels at the border. Then you can have all the pot you need. DEA leave poor Willie alone!

Come on Willie! Don't you think this outlaw bit has done got out of hand? I know your Mama Tried, but you turned out to be the only hell your mama ever raised. Stop this and trust me, there ain't no good chain gang. Good thing it happened in Texas though, cause there ain't no God in Mexico, ain't no comfort in the can, when you're down in Matamoris getting busted by the man.

It's amazing that after all these years in which Willie Nelson has openly admitted his usage that he is arrested now. This leads me to believe that he better be involved in the 20 tons of marijuana product they just found in a border tunnel because that seems to be the real issue (among other cartel tunnels). And presuming he wasn't involved, the only reason I can see that the government would bust him is he isn't paying their taxes anymore. Now that Willie's popularity is apparently declining they noticed he wasn't filling their pockets so he's no longer useful. Other opinions of course are welcome. It just seems the major issue are these cartel tunnels that A. cannot be taxed because it is illegally imported from Mexico B. Fund raise for more violent action in Mexico and keep the cartels in power C. Are a threat to national security. Maybe start digging for tunnels instead of following Willie's Tour Bus is all I'm saying...that is unless he leads authorities to these tunnels which is preposterous he's no villain just a hippie.

Look at this guy CULO'S comments: "My Willie is hard. Do you want it?" then his next comment is "My Willie is free. Do you want it?" his then answered "Are you white or brown? What if you're yello?" another reply Culo makes is "it was border patol, federal officers, no TX cops" – WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM CULO? MAYBE IF YOU START SMOKING SOME GOOD STUFF THIS WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE

Why do they bother arresting old men for pot charges?

Oh that's right, because they are non-violent and easier for the cops to arrest. Wouldn't want the border patrol to do anything to the illegals.

Our brave border patrol sure is protecting America

While I agree its totally bogus that an American legend/treasure such as Willie would be subject to a search and seizure of marijuana, the safest substance its ok to demonize. I do have to say if theres anywhere one should at least be subject to a little more scrutiny in this country its the borders. I also get the feeling if this was DEA or Marshall or TSP there would have been a different outcome. Theres a lot of new Border Patrol agents and Im sure many just dont understand you dont arrest guys like Willie for pot.
