10:30 am ET - Pentagon briefing on Afghanistan - U.S. Navy Vice Adm. Robert Harward briefs reporters on detention operations in Afghanistan.

1:00 pm ET - White House briefing - The White House holds its daily briefing with reporters.

2:00 pm ET - Pentagon briefing - Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen brief reporters from the Pentagon.  They are expected to discuss a new report on gays and lesbians in the military.
