McCain opposes change to gays policy

Now is not the time to repeal the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy on gays serving in the armed forces, Sen. John McCain said at a hearing Thursday.

"At this time, we should be inherently cautious about making any changes that would affect our military, and what changes we do make should be the product of careful and deliberate consideration," the Arizona Republican said.

His position is not that the law should never be changed, he said, but that "it may be premature to make such a change at this time and in this manner."

the gay gene. lol. how can u be born gay? yeah right, it is a learned behavior. gay rights and civil rights are not the same. being judged for the color of your skin and being judged for choosing to be gay are so different. why do they have to tell everyone that they are gay? leave that ish behind closed doors.

It's incredible that one man's opinion gets such coverage especially when he can't seem to make his mind up about anything. Good God..back off John and let people just live their lives. Gays soldiers have fought and died for us on the battlefield since there were wars. How does this lifestyle affect you Mr. McCain?
