Talks between the United States and Israel over settlement freeze end, official says

Talks between the United States and Israel over a settlement freeze have ended, a State Department official said Tuesday, and the U.S. has abandoned its efforts to secure a settlement freeze as a precondition to re-start talks.

"We have determined a moratorium extension at this time will not provide the best basis for direct negotiations," the official said.

The official called the decision to end talks a "joint determination" and
said the U.S. would be continuing to engage both parties on all core
issues in the effort to reach a settlement.

Why do Jews want to have children? Cheap labor. What do Jews do after their friends leave from their house? They check the sofa for lose change. Why does a Jew pick his nose? It's cheaper than buying toilet paper. Why did the Jew run to the discount store? The sign said " cheap." Disclaimer: The above is in no way casting a blanket assertion on any race of people, including the good Jewish people of the world.

    What's wrong here?
Israel did not exist till 40s. The land had been inhabited by Palestinians and other ethnic groups in peace. Then, under Jewish lobbists primarily in US and UK, UN was 'cornered' into 'establishing a Jewish State right in the back and front yards of Plestinians. If you were a Palestinian and somebody comes in to tell you to leave your home because the Bible or Torah says the property belong to him, what will you do?
This time, it it the freeze on construction in 'occupied lad' which nobody recognizes as a land of Israel except the Jews and their "supporters (?)".Construction in occupied land should have never been allowed in the first place.
Solution? Let UN body to enforce the international law! Then, 'internationalize Jerusalem, which is home not only to Judaism but also to Christianity and Moslem, get all settlers back to within the internationally recognized border where they are free to build whatever they desire.

Israel "gave" Sinai back to Egypt? It never was Israeli land. It was/ is Egyptian land. Israel 'returned' it to the proper owner.

Historian: just understand one thing in all your confusion...to the winner the spoils. The Arabs attack, attack, attack, and lose, lose, lose...they lost Jerusalem, they lost Sinai, they lost the Golan...they are just not very good in the fighting business, unless it's suicide bombs, so just get over it and get on with accepting reality...there was never a country called Palestine...it was invented by the British, and before that the Turks were in charge...before that nobody in particular, and long before that the Romans, and before that, guess what, the Israelis. They would share Jerusalem in some form if the Palestinians had a half an idea between them to figure out a deal, which is more than the Arabs ever would. 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973...enough already.

@geofcali...thanks for clearing that up for us. I often wondered why Israel's most holy sacred ground, the temple mount, has a Muslim mosque on it. It must of been Israel's kindness that allowed them to build there since the Muslim's don't know how to fight very well as you posted. Did Israel have to fight for that tiny little piece of the old temple, the wailing wall, or was it a gift from the Arabs?

the so called palestinians are not occupied they are defeated..they have nothing to offer in negotiations...
best thing for the so called palestinians is to come under jordainian rule like they where before jordon attacked israel in 1967, if a palestinian state was created today ..what happens when the lights and water get turned off , no more palestinians coming into israel from the west bank for work. palestinians wanting to pray cannot enter israel like before and would require passports , remember just because a country boarders yours that does not mean you have to have open boarders. jordon got 60% of the mandate how come the palestinians are not asking for the 60% held by jordon ?

You people crack me up. You really should read the History behind this discussion. For one, there never has been peace in the middle east and never will be. Adam and Eves sons assured that. Now, the real question is do you promote peace or terrorism?

@Nic...I hear you and agree. Many of oir simple-minded neighbors have indeed confused love of country with love of government. In their tiny little world where their opinions come not from their own minds but from the minds of some tv or radio host, the very idea of loving a country and it's people without loving the government is thought not only to be absurd, but to be an impossibility. And so if you expose their governments criminal element they call you silly names like Jew-hater or anti-American trailer park trash. They are blinded by the very ones they elect to show them the way.
