At least 8 killed in China fireworks blast

Eight people were killed and six others were injured in eastern China after an explosion that authorities said was caused by fireworks stored indoors, state media reported Sunday.

    Very sorry to hear of 8 humans death. Hopeful that China's equivalent of OSHA will find the root cause of this problem and effectively truncant any problems of this nature in the future.
    Now, the idea that a comment is offensive or worthless unless it is read by some NYT's staffer is just pure balderdash.
    Calling comments "snappy tripe" unless you publish them makes you nothing but an elitist goon.

    If the poor were allowed to be the middleman in the trade of complex and opaque financial instruments they would no longer be poor.
    THINK ABOUT IT.
    No need to hire PHD math wizards to devise risk models. All risk is borne by tax-payers.
    So why should not derivatives be traded electronically? And why not let the poor be rich for doing nothing just like the hedge fund managers?
