Mark Madoff's death ruled a suicide
The death of Mark Madoff, the son of convicted Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff, was ruled a suicide by the New York City medical examiner's officer on Sunday, a day after the victim's body was discovered hanging from a ceiling pipe in his SoHo apartment.
Ellen Borakove, a spokeswoman for the medical examiner, said the autopsy was completed around 1 p.m. Sunday. Borakove said medical examiners will conduct toxicology and tissue tests on the body. The result, she said, will not be made public unless Madoff's next of kin asks for the case file.
Madoff killed himself two years to the day after his father was arrested for swindling $50 billion from investors in the largest Ponzi-scheme in U.S. history.

i think it was the work of that serial killer the quaid's talked about.
Very strange that he would leave a 2 year old child unattended. I would check for any kind of a struggle such as broken items in his apartment, blood, worn or torn clothing.
Well the guy could have been depressed about taking flack over his daddy'sbad dealings or he was quietly taken "care of" by a smooth, but psycotic operator.Ruled a suicide so if it was foul play the deedster got away scott free.
Sad story. Heard on the news tonight that his 2 year old son could still be found liable in the lawsuit. Amazing. From what I heard this guy contacted his wife and lawyer via email and his messages pretty much had the undertone that he was going to off himself. It's sad. I wonder how Bernie now feels about what he did.

Geez greg davis! take it down a notch and have some decency. I realize u got ur panties in a bunch with the ILLEGALL issue, but when u get that under control, show a bit of decency and respect. It will show that u just might have a shred of compassion.

Last night I heard WABC Radio Talk Show Host Mancow call Madoff's death murder.He may be right,everytime I hear someone hung themselfs I tend to question it.Because it is a slow painful death if the neck does not immediately snap.
Next.when the sensation of blacking out starts taking place.,unless you have your hands tied behind your back so you cannot struggle to try and save yourself you will struggle to free yourself.But, because the self preservation instinct will kick in if your hands are free to try and release yourself ,you will climb the rope to try and free yourself.Hopefully the police checked for rope type burns on his hands.
