Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.
Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.

I had the pleasure to meet Tina on one of Tom Joyner's cruises. She was so friendly and down to earth. I told her the only reason I went on the cruise was to meet her, and God blessed me with the opportunity to take a picture with her. I love you Tina!

Teena Marie was a huge part of the 80's music scene and was sometimes known as lady t. She sung a song called Square Biz which was as great as the song was popular.
