Singer Teena Marie dead at 54
Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.
Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.
Teena Marie will be missed. She was a genuine talent and had the most beautiful voice. I love you Teena!

Tina's music shaped my teenage years growing up in the South Bronx. We thank God that he gave us Tina and her music. You will never be forgotten. My condolences to her family and loved ones.

I can't believe Teena is gone. She was my all time favorite R&B singer. She had soul that touched you in every song that she ever sang. I have almost all of her music. Albums, CD's and cassette tapes. She is and will always be a legend. She will be missed. Rest in peace Teena!!!!!!
What a sad, sad day. We lost James Brown and Eartha Kitt at Christmas years ago as well. A joyous season made bittersweet with this news. Such a talented and wonderful creature. R&B's honorary 'White Sista'. R.I.P. Teena Marie. One more great voice added to the heavenly choir.
