I remember hearing her music for the first time many years ago. It was "Behind The Groove" that had me start listening to her music. I also love "Lovergirl" and "Fire and Desire" with Rick James, so much soul in her music, R.I.P. Lady T, you will be missed by many.

This such sad news, she was a music icon, and the industry has lost a gem.

NO WAY! Are you serious? This is so very sad! I saw her in concert (and I do not buy or go to everyone's concert....you have to be a hellava performer) like three years ago at the Fox Theater in Detroit. Not only did she give a great concert on New Years Eve but it would WELL WORTH every dime I spend on it.

RIP For Real Lady T! You will be missed. I feel so sorry for your daughter also and other family members in their mourning for your lost.

OMG she was my ultimate FAVORITE! I was BLESSED to have seen her at the Los Angeles County fair a couple months ago She ROCKED IT as she always did. I saw her everytime she was in the LA area. I even saw her one day picking her daughter up from school in Pasadena CA and the kids were like aren't you the lady that sings that sings Lovergirl? She just laughed and said yes. A very humble lady who loved her fans and loved what she did you could tell everytime I saw her. SHE WILL BE MISSED AND SHE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. SHE WAS THE VERY BEST!!!

This is so heartbreaking... I have been a fan of Teena since her first album and still listen to her music regularly. What a great singer/musician/songwriter. You will be missed.
