@ Howard -- I almost forgot about " If I were a Bell". She was sooooooo talented. Let's hope that her music will be playing over the radio all day tomorrow. Peace to you.
I am extremely sad to learn of the passing of the Queen of Blue-Eyed Soul. I adored Teena Marie's work ... she was a true artist (singer, songwriter AND musician). We are losing all of our greats ... God lends them to us for such a brief moment.
My Deepest Sympathy for Tina Marie's family – may she Rest in Heavenly Peace. She was most times associiated with Rick James – but she could hold her own and PLAYED that guitar. She was one of the greatest!!!!!!! Her cut "Irons in the Fire" was just a fantastic piece of work amongst many. My thanks to our heavenly Father for having her come by our way. She will never be forgotten. RIHP Lady Tee.
The last time i saw Tenna was at a stevee Wonder Toys for Tots one Xmas, She was a surprise Guest she was siitting down in a booth at the forum, and she just started that crooning she does , with no lite on just a mike, and the crowd when wild, we all knew it was her with no ackowledement, Luther V. was also on the show but she stole the show with that moaning and crooning she does , She was well loved by Blk people , we apreciated her voice, it was the style we are accoustomed to hearing, Blk people was her biggest fans, she knew that, we bought her records, I see some people post asking who she is , Even young blk kids know her because of their parents playing her , She never made it big in the white world, thats sad, she is a while lady for those of you who dont know her.
