Singer Teena Marie dead at 54

Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.

Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.

    this is so devastating. I met her 1 time I have every album and cd she ever made. I am crying cause I lost my best friend. RIP TEENA.

    Teena was great!..one of the Few 'white artist' that could really sing RnB and not be fake about it..she was also one of the most successful white artist on the Rnb charts,,Her voice and range was AWSOME..and she was a musician and songwriter,,she did most or all of her produce records..REST IN PEACE LADY T.

    March 2010, Jazz in the Garden, Lady T brought the house down. It is sad to know I will never get to see u perform live again. RIP! Heaven is your home now! I pray your daughter can get through this devastating loss with the strength of family. She will be truly missed.

    sorry to hear about teena marie. my dad use to hang out with her they grow up in venice. she had just came to venice to oakwood park and was talking about what she wanted to do for the community she told all the kids to get ready cause she has something line up for them. love you teena marie r.i.p we will always love***********
