Singer Teena Marie dead at 54
Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.
Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.
Tina God Blessed you with a wonderful voice, and I am greatful to e one of the ones that hade a chance to listen to your music. For the ones who never heard her music or voice you missed a lot. May God Bless you and RIP all of my family loved you. My son who s seventeen was raised listening to your music in my house. We love Tina..............

I don't recall how many Teena Marie concerts my wife and I had been to.In my opinion, she was one of the BEST and BADDEST female singers around. We were at her concert 2 1/2 years ago at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles, and she put on a show. She must have stayed on stage for almost 2 hours. Hard to imagine her gone...to God. We will not see her anymore but, her music will live on forever. RIP Lady T!
I AM SADDENED, BUT I ALSO THINK TEENA MARIE IS NOT GETTING THE CREDIT SHE DESERVES, AND THEY KEEP SAYING ELVIS IS IN THE BUILDING, BUT IS HE REALLY? NOW THIS FABULOUS SINGER HAS PASSED AND THE MEDIA BARELY SPEAKS ABOUT HER.
In short, one of the best. My condolences to Ms. Marie's family and friends. She one of the best to ever pic of the mic and sing. The writing, vocal range, concepts of the songs, production, the list can go on and on. My favorite song , wow, after some thought.. I love them all.. much love family. much love.. will be definitely missed.

Absolutely! They were the best dynamic duo of 80’s: along with, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terril, Ike and Tina Turner, and Peaches and Herbs.
My condolences to all in the Osmand family, especially Donnie. I used to watch their show when I was younger. I always liked that she was a little bit country. Rest in Peace Marie.

Teena Marie, Teena Marie words cannot express how deeply sadden I am that you left this world so soon. My mom and I are big fans of your music and we thank God so much for being on Earth as long as you did to give the world such rich, great, wonderful and soulful music; furthermore, your music will live on forever. My mom and I will keep your daughter and your family in our prayers and we will continue to play your songs before rise up to start our day and before we end our day. Now, Teena, you are surrounded by many r&b and hip-hop legends who have left this world so suddenly. Most importantly you are back together with your musical soul mate, Rick James.
