I am so deeply touched by the passing of the Ivory Queen Ms. Teena Marie. I have loved her since she came on the scene, and i have all of her albums. I just wanted to say to her daughter your Mom was the Greatest!! and i am so sorry for your loss. And to the rest of her family, the world will be in mourning with you. Though a lot of us did not know her personally, we knew of her Musically. Teena's music will live on and in our homes, cars, and whatever we have to play it on. R. I. P. Teena I Love You and so does the World.

I just cried when my husband told me she died. I love her music and grew up listening to her since I was 7 years old. I play her music in my car daily. Just can't believe this so so Sad! I pray for her daughter to find peace with this. I can't imagine what she is going through. No one can touch Teena, her voice is angelic. God bless her family.

    Aw, so sad :(((
    I loved Teena Marie's music.
She was great in concert, full of energy. She pulled you into her stage show.
Doesn't matter how she died, the point is she is dead.
Seriously, if you never heard of this lady have some common sense. Just read the comments. If you must, do some research. No need to dis the dead. Have some respect for life and the living and death and the dying.

It was so much fun being in my twenties during the height of Teena's career. I spent many nights dancing to her music in clubs in Atlanta back in the the 80's. All the DJ needed to do to get people on the floor was pop a Teena vinyl on the turn table and the club started to HOP. God it was great! Finally saw her in concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans...had front row seats...what a blast! Teena you'll be missed but never forgotten. I'm listening to you right now. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT MUSIC AND GOOD TIMES!
