Man, I watched her on TVones "Unsung Heroes". She was truly that. So many current r&b singers owe their very finances to Lady T. I'm so glad RHOA did not come on tonight. It would've been an even bigger tragedy if we had to listen to Kim Zolciak after hearing about this loss! Man o man!

I just lost someone on Christmas day...now THIS!?!? What a sad holiday weekend. When Teena sings her slow songs, you can feel the emotion, the sadness, the love, the depths of her world. The upbeat songs were strictly "THE GROOVE"!! Her concerts, the experience is mindblowing. I hate the American Music Awards, The Grammys, and the Soul Train Awards never paid homage and that has always been my complaint. And of course NOWWWW they will finally do it I presume. Give artists their flowers while they are alive so they can smell their beauty. She made me happy to dance, she made me cry, I expressed my moments of unhappiness through her music. My heart goes out to her daughter Alia. Your in our prayers young girl.

Dear Teena Marie, thanks for leaving your legendary songs such as Young Love, Portuguese Love, and Dear Lover. Your music was an important part of my high school and college days and lingered on throughout my entire life. I still have my cassette tapes and my LP's of your music. My Friday night jam sessions are dominated by your sounds, especially your latest (I'm Still In Love/Stir it Up). You have always been the best singer I have ever known and I will always cherish your music. I wish your family peace during your time of transition but I know heaven can't wait to hear your angelic sounds. Rest in peace Teena Marie!

From Tammy T, Lady T please rest in peace because your music-song, voice, everything will be missed. You as a "Lover Girl" made a "Square Biz" that brought "Fire and Desire" for everyone. So may GOD bless you and your family.
