I was shocked to hear Lady T has passed on. I went to her concert in 2009. She has been my favorite female artist since the 1980s. I love Teena Marie and may you be in heaven with the angels. I am very sorry to her daughter Rose, that she had to experience that day, and that she is in a lot of pain. I really feel for you. Teena Marie will always live in all our hearts. Lady T may you Rest In Peace.

Alia, my prayers are with you and your family at this time. There are no words to express how much I wish you and your family love, peace and comfort. Even though I did not know your mother personally, her music told me that she was a beautiful spirit with a loving soul. Your mother's songs have been a part of my life for over thirty years. My all time favorite song, to this day is "De Ja Vu". My ten year old daughter's favorite is "Irons in the Fire". Alia, please know that God has a plan for your mother's heavenly voice, she will surely bring joy to the angels.

Teena will be missed in body, but her music will stand the test of time. Lady T got me through some crazy times during the 80's and 90's and I will always cherish her great works of art. I use to sing along with all of her songs, and now I will begin doing that again as my personal tribute to her. I pray for her daughters strength during her time of lost. We may have lost her body, but her soul will be with all of us forever. Rest in peace...

Let's face it, she's no Tania Maria. Now, Tania has real talent. Teena? Not so much.

      Hi Hugh Normous,

Try listening to some of her music. I am sure you might not like some of it, or maybe the music doesn't fit your age group. Ms Teena came from the Motown sound of the 70's and 80's. Teena had a deep passion for lyrics that moved the soul, and she took you to a place with her songs that when you listen to her music, you never wanted the beat to stop. Her lyrics were true to llife, powerful, and had meaning to them. She talked about being in and out of love–And trust me you heard and felt every word.

Try some Teena, it's all about love.

God bless the soul singers who have passed before us. Lady "T" bought us a sound that was unique and helped to establish how well our female artist can take the groove to the streets. Teena was respected by all in the music industry and will be missed, as was "Left Eye", Alya, Minnie Rippton, Phylis Hymann, just to name a few famous Divas's making their mark early to see that flame extingished far to early. Rest in Pease lady "T"

I loved her music. She was my favorite female artist. When she made her comeback afew years ago she was still just as powerful and awesome as when she started singing. I send my prayers to her family and friends. Her daughter song a few times with her on stage. I hope her daughter follows her mothers footsteps with the vocals and keep her legacy alive in her own sounds. R I P.
