Singer Teena Marie dead at 54

Teena Marie, an award-winning singer-songwriter known for her R&B
performances, has died, her manager said Sunday. The performer was 54.

Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep,
manager Mike Gardner said.

    there hasnt been any confirmed facts, thats why it doesnt say anything. All we know is Shelia E. said, Teena's daugther found her in the bedroom already passed. She had seizers the weeks prior too this.

    i'm so so heart broken, Lady T was one of my favorite female singers. i have all her cd's, she will be truly missed. i'm so grateful i seen her in concert before. i love u Teena Marie!!!!!

      Teena Marie was my all time favorite female vocalist. I have seen her in concert at least ten or more times throghout my life and I have always been one of her biggest fans, She will truly be missed, but I am so glad that I have so much of her music to reminisce to. R.I.P Lady Tee.

      I was JUST talking about her and Rick James this morning saying how he was dead now but Teena had made a comeback. I don't know why she was even on my mind. Totally freaks me out now that I know she is dead. I am so sad.

    She was one of the greats. Some of the greatest music I've heard as a child. And her songs were sampled by some og the top producers in hip hop including MySelf. Swave on Swavette!!! You will be missed but your music will live on. Swave!!!

    ive been a teena marie fan since 8 years old im 25 now she is and was my inspiration for doing my own music and song writing hell her music is part reason i have two kids lol how could u not get in the mood with her music im sad she will be missed by me
