NFL fines Brett Favre $50,000

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was fined $50,000 by the National Football League for failing to cooperate with an investigation into whether he sent sexually explicit messages to women, the league said Wednesday.

However, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, based on the evidence available, "could not conclude that Favre violated league policies relating to workplace conduct," the league said.

Favre was alleged to have sent inappropriate messages to Jenn Sterger, a female employee of the New York Jets while he was on the Jets roster in 2008.

"The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger," the league's statement said.

It also said Sterger had not engaged in any inappropriate activity.

A spoiled sports star is having an (alleged) affair with someone! He's sending "inappropriate" images of himself to a woman!

Just another whiney NFL star with more money than brains and zero control over his libido...

$50,000 is nothing to him. And like the above people have stated, one more game and its over He might not even play and if he does someone will knock him out again

That is just them letting him off because they know he did it. "We will fine you for not cooperating" rather than announcing to the world that they did find evidence and he is a freaky little perv. What a way to go out Brett.

They fined Favre $50k and let Goodell smell his finger.

So they fined him for not cooperating in an investigation in which there was no evidence. That's like being given a fine just for being a suspect. Oh well. He makes $50K in the time it takes to brush his teeth in the morning.

NO evidence?! Seriously?!! omg. There is a ton of evidence – Goodell looked the other way because of the league reputation or maybe he has an agreement not to do more if the stupid idiot actually retires and stays gone. IDK. But no evidence?! There was PLENTY of evidence and Deanna even knows her husband is guilty or she would have said she believed him. She knows who she is married to – not the first time she has faced his indiscretions.

So YOU can pinpoint those texts with Brett Farve in a court of law if need be? Please enlighten the NFL, and everyone here with your indisputable evidence...

      We're waiting...

How did he get her number anyway? It's not like he could look it up somewhere, she had to have given it to him in order for him to even start texting each other. She knows Brett Favre is married...I'm a woman but I hate it when they do dumb shi- like this then cry about the whole thing later on when it backfires. (SHE GAVE HIM HER NUMBER)...LOL ~ Andy!

What is her prob, anyway? She's been in playboy, and will be again in 2011. And she's so shocked by nudity? Can't she do like everyone else and block senders? She must think she found the golden wiener.

He still got off cheap. They get fined more for a hit on a white quarterback.

50,000 is chump change for him. This was to make the NFL brass look good to the public. Goodell is a loser who should be fired.

Is that it? I hope it is all going to the victim. She deserves all that money and more for what Brett put her through. $50 Million sounds more appropriate of a fine.

50 Million seems a littlle high.
I could get behind 35 million though.

And what exactly did he do to her to warrant 50 million. I'm sure she's seen one before. It probably wasn't too traumatic for her.

Victim? LOL. I'm sure Jenn is waking up at nights in sweats horrified of seeing a man's penis. She can hug your fake boobs to comfort herself. She can look on the bright side. Just know that that penis was from the greatest football player that ever lived.

It goes to the NFL to compensate for the investigation. To be awarded money, the "victim" would have to file a civil suit in the legal system....
