NFL fines Brett Favre $50,000

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre was fined $50,000 by the National Football League for failing to cooperate with an investigation into whether he sent sexually explicit messages to women, the league said Wednesday.

However, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, based on the evidence available, "could not conclude that Favre violated league policies relating to workplace conduct," the league said.

Favre was alleged to have sent inappropriate messages to Jenn Sterger, a female employee of the New York Jets while he was on the Jets roster in 2008.

"The forensic analysis could not establish that Favre sent the objectionable photographs to Sterger," the league's statement said.

It also said Sterger had not engaged in any inappropriate activity.

No Tiger actually cheated on his wife and lied about it. Tiger was so much further out then any other rlation, maybe Bill Clinton comes close.

I wonder what his wife would think about that. Cheating is cheating, whether it is one or a hundred. It's like death, there are no degrees, either you are or you aren't.

He was with a different woman every night? So? And, uh, unless my eyes are seriously strained, did you just insinuate you banged him? lmao If so, I really think you should cease and desist.

Since when is it illegal to send penis pictures to an ADULT? If I had her number I would send a couple pictures of my penis to her.

It's not illegal, which is why there wasn't a criminal investigation. But players have a code of conduct as part of their contract with the NFL. If they don't want to abide by it – then don't play in the NFL. Just like if you don't want to follow some rule of the military that civilians don't have to – don't be in the military. End of discussion.

Look. Ben Rothlisberger was suspended for 4 games (originally 6 games) with out proof over bad behavior. He paid probably more than $50,000 in just court fees and lost even more missing those games. Brett Farve has been fined only $50,000 with absolute proof. I find that Big Ben should be reimbursed from the NFL because of this huge huge unjustified and obviously bias fine.

Please don't put Farve in Big Ben's category. Farve sent out some pic's of his weenie ... Big Ben was using his on girls that said no. BIG difference.

JC, get your facts straight! SHE didn't not report it, it was her FRIENDS that reported it! And considering she was underage and drunk in a bar no wonder NO charges were filed!

Ah, as BM says, the categories aren't even close then. Favre sends pictures of his weeny to a legal adult, ben is a pedophile. Yep, there is a big difference.

His career is over in one more game. Doubt he cares. After this, he may not have affiliation with the NFL, so it's all over.
