On the Radar: Navy video fallout, Conrad Murray, CES, more Lohan trouble?

Navy's raunchy video fallout - The Navy is investigating how a series of raunchy videos, full of sexual innuendo and anti-gay remarks, was produced and shown to a crew while on deployment. And as the investigation continues, a debate also is taking place about whether the high-ranking Navy officer in question should keep his position.

Excerpts from the videos and descriptions of their content were first published Saturday by The Virginian-Pilot newspaper in Norfolk, Virginia.

Conrad Murray's hearing - We'll find out in the next few weeks if Michael Jackson's former doctor will stand trial in connection with Jackson's death. Murray's hearing begins Tuesday. We examine whether the doctor's lawyers may argue the King of Pop actually killed himself.

Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death, which the Los Angeles County coroner ruled was from an overdose of propofol, a powerful anesthetic used to put surgical patients to sleep, in combination with benzodiazepine, a sedative used to relieve an array of physical and psychological maladies.

CES trends - For gearheads, the holiday celebrations don't end after Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year's. Many new tech toys are unwrapped not just in December but in early January, at a not-so-little event in Las Vegas.

It's the annual Consumer Electronics Show, and it's a six-day gathering (including pre-show events and news conferences) where some 120,000 tech-industry types come to see gadget makers show off their newest wares. We take a look at what trends you can expect to see at this year's show. And to stay up to date with the latest news, follow @cnntech, @jdsutter and @markmilian for Twitter updates this week from CES.

Lohan facing probation violations? - Though she is free to leave court-ordered rehab for substance abuse this week, actress Lindsay Lohan's legal issues could get more complicated after police in California said she violated her probation.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said Lohan violated probation when she allegedly tussled with a then-staff member at the Betty Ford Center as she was undergoing three months of court-ordered substance abuse rehab.
