Person of interest sought in Arizona mass shooting

Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify a person who is possibly associated with the suspect in Saturday's mass shooting in Arizona.

A gunman went to a town hall meeting at the Safeway supermarket in Tucson. Six people were killed and 12 others were wounded, including U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

Early Sunday morning, investigators released a surveillance camera photo of a man who was seen at the location where the shooting occurred.

Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik told reporters Saturday that authorities were searching for a second individual who was a "person of interest" in the investigation.

He is described as a white male, approximately 40 to 50 years old. He has dark hair and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a dark blue jacket.

If you have any information about the individual, you are asked to contact 911, 88-CRIME or the Federal Bureau of Investigation at (520) 791-6974.

i think instead of arguing amongst each other we all need to get on our knees and pray for the victims and their familys .

Yes – that would be very productive. Or, we can all reach into our wallets and donate to the memorial fund set up for the victims and their children.

I think the people who make any conection with Palin in this issue are mental ill. How you people can believe Palin is a killer? You are insane. CNN you've should never ever ask this kind of question about Palin or to make a political issue. Wake up America?

jenny please. I think if political leaders and commentators visualized people like Loughner, sitting in a darkened room, watching, reading or listening to the rhetoric, the violent metaphors may actually cease. Sarah was irresponsible in in the "crosshairs" metaphor, as were all the tea party candidates who threatened "second amendment remedies" against policies they didn't agree with. A tea party spokesperson actually said that "house members should be afraid to leave their homes" after the health reform vote took place. You ask me to wake up? Physician, heal thy self.

Therefore the land mourns, and all who dwell in it languish, and also the beasts of the field and the birds of the heavens, and even the fish of the sea are taken away.Hosea 4:3

How long will the land lie parched [fn] and the grass in every field be withered? Because those who live in it are wicked, the animals and birds have perished. Moreover, the people are saying, "He will not see what happens to us." Jeremiah 12:4

"I will sweep away both men and animals; I will sweep away the birds of the air and the fish of the sea. The wicked will have only heaps of rubble [fn] when I cut off man from the face of the earth," declares the Lord. Zephaniah 1:3

This guy is definitely up to no good. You can tell by the fact that he's layering his clothing. He's hiding something under there, it's obvious when you look at the pattern of his jacket folds. My guess is that Saddam has something to do with it, and not Saudi Arabia.

This "person if interest" sounds rather odd... I am guessing that there were more than only two people at that place where the shooting occurred. I am betting that camera will have more than a thousand images of people readily available so why do they really want to find this guy??

      (Danged computer)...
Remember the pic from the Times Square bombing attempt? Just because they have a 'person of interest', doesn't mean this guy is involved.
