3 U.S. troops killed in Iraq

Three U.S. troops were killed Saturday in Iraq, including two who were slain by at least one Iraqi soldier in the northern city of Mosul.

The U.S. military said an Iraqi soldier shot and killed two service members and wounded another at the Ghazlani Training Center during a training event conducted by American forces.

The Iraqi soldier was killed during the attack, the military said.

Earlier, an Iraq Interior Ministry official offered different details about the incident. The official said two Iraqi soldiers carried out the attack on military trainers and then were detained.

If the Iraqi can't handle their own problems by now, they never will. And by the way, what our service memebers doing in Iraq?. I thought our combat role was over with. Waste of man power.

I support the freedom of speech, but some of the comments posted here are ridiculous! They make y'all look stupid to outsiders. I guess that's why other countries have no respect for Americans anymore.

How many more lives must this country lose? How many more families have to bury their loved ones because of this gov and the prior administrations hard-headedness? When are they going to understand that we have no right being in Iraq or any other country in the middle-east? Why don't they just tell the truth about why we are losing our young troopers everyday? All of this death and loss of good human life is nothing more than for OIL AND WHO CONTROLS IT!!! There it is people, if the government won't say it then I will! And if the gov can't admit it, then it's time for a drastic change in this gov... Think it over before the 2012 elections and choose a prez that will stop this needless waste of life.

God Bless our Troops, and try to bring them all home safe! And,they are there now, watching over things,so the fight doesnt come HERE~to us~to their families~thats what makes our Troops so great! Even as they leave,we still MUST keep Special Forces operating in those countries~in Afganistan,to keep bad things from the hands of bad people, who would do us all grave harm,if they could. The day somebody drops a bomb on us,maybe THEN all the crazy ideas will fall to the wayside and folks will get serious about helping each other, and doing whats right once again! Until then,I am NOT of a mind to let a small %of people in this country ruin it for all! Hey~anybody NOT happy here~you are absolutely FREE TO LEAVE THE U.S.~and NOT come back~in fact, please do! sooner the better. You will have a rude awakening when you get to yr NEXT country, but I really dont care,as long as you leave the good folks of the U.S.alone!

Prayers out to the families of soldiers. But I have to say what "right track" has Obama put us on? the big spending and the big government not to mention the war or (now the two wars) that the left yelled about when George W. was in office. Really? And look at the violence, here in the states since Obama took office, remember Fort Hood? thats right he wasn't from the right either. Wake up people.

Toadfish is right on with his assesment of this so-called war on terror, it's all about the almighty black gold and who controls it. Our men and women are giving their lives for something that we have plenty of right here in this country! It is a waste of human lives and for what,"OIL"... The US government ought to be ashamed of itself. Wonder how many politicions sons and daughters are over there giving their all for the same? Check into it, they hide them in collages and universities so they won't be called on to serve... Bush and Obama, the blood of each and every one of these fine people are on your hands....

The US command is to blame for allowing this to happen, many of us Soldiers over here wanted the Iraqi Soldiers to have "Dummy Rifles" (fake rifles that we often use in training) but they are still allowed to have M-16s even after this happened because "it would reduce the training value if they couldn't use real rifles". But now they STILL have their rifles on our base.
I know they are not all bad, but then again not all chambers have a bullet in it when playing Russian Roullette.

as a wife of a man who is serving his second tour in iraq . i know the things he has seen and he know why they are there and what they are fighting for. he is ther fighting not only to protect the people of this country from these terriorists but the rest of the world as well. and as far as blaming the president i call bullshit. when those terrorists hit on u.s. soil the people were demanding that they do something about it. now that its years later and you dont like what you see you make excuses to make the people feel less guilty about having their demands awnsered. i couldnt be more proud my husband, my friends and all of the men and women who serve this country. at least they know what they are fighting for. as well as keeping to the mission that when completed will bring them home and make iraq another of our allies. so feel free to say what you want but if you cant stand behind our government, their deciions to protect this country, and our men and women fighting this war please feel free to stand infront them.

Your Husband is there for 1 reason, and 1 reason only. War is very profitable. Whatever they are telling him, its all BS. Of course they will tell you they are fighting for Iraqs freedom, and our own attacks on our towers. yea you dont believe me, come to JFK airport where all the debris from the towers are being held. and ask to take a small sample of the structures, they wont let you. what are they hiding? How come there are 84 cameras at the pentagon, and we are allowed only to see 5 second clip, that took almost 3.5 million to sue them just so we can see that 1 camera? why cant we see all the cameras? what are you hiding? Of course they are saying its for our freedom, yea BS. This goverment is killing ours brothers for NO F***King reason, but money. You dont have to believe me, do some research, and you will see the light. Oh by the way how come OSAMA is not the #1 terror threat? oh did these poor soilders ever find there main objective. NO.
