While reading the blogs I'm amazed at so many people blaming the right for any of this. The only person to be blamed Is the shooter who, from what those who know him say was disturbed and mentally ill, And most mentally ill, especially to this extreme, do not seek help, not to mention the drugs he has been said to Have used for self-medicating. Also from what I've read he was known to be far left so why would anything coming from the right cause him to plan an attack on a leader of the left and her followers. That doesn't make any sense. As for the victim who made the recent threat on the Republican leader I agree with the person who knows him, we should consider what he has been through, although he is also from the left. Anyway, my prayers and thoughts go out to the victims and their families and the parents of the shooter and all hurt by this tragic event. This comes from a proud, republican American!!!!

Violence and hate breed the same. He was touched by his surroundings. No he wasn't political in his ramblings. He just absorbed the environment he was in. Clean it up America or this will be the norm and there won't be enough enemies to defend against. We will be a third world country again.

this is why i dont watch the news much. Half the time they dont have the whole story or they mis-report the actual events. And if it wasnt for your big "financial backers" they wouldnt even be on the air! And it is so sad that the majority of the citizens of this crumbling nation listen to and believe half the hogwash that is put out in the mainstream media! You need to focus more on how to help this country instead of focusing on all the bad stuff that happens.
Get on with it and get back to the financial stability issues which are truly at the heart of the majority of all crimes commited. Get back to helping the nation get back on her feet. My heart and prayers go out to the victims and their families. And i wish the best for all parties concerned, but does this story truly deserve so much attention from the media only because a congress-woman was shot? Is she any different from anyone else in the world? If most of us were shot and killed this moment we might get 1 minute on the 6 oclock news. Get over it and get back to what is really important!

i hear the n.r.a. Will be disbanded as a threat to public safety to attenuate intimidation and prolonged terror activity..to return freedom of expression to citizens. Just another rumour of course. No prayers required for the disbanding.

It's been 11 hours since Eric Fuller threatened to kill conservatives while being filmed by ABC. Palin was blamed for Gifford's shooting 11 minutes after it happened. Typical democrat bias as usual. This guy was all over the news 72 hours ago blaming Palin, Beck, and Limbaugh and CNN covered it all. Now that he's in a psych ward after threatening to kill conservatives the mainstream media is eerily quiet. This will be fun political fodder for conservative outlets over the next week. Time for some payback is all I've got to say. Eric Fuller gave us all the ammo we needed. Thank you Mr. Fuller!

Q: Why isn't the media portraying Mr. Fuller as being influenced by hate talking right-wing radio? Why weren't his comments attributed to hatred spewing by Sarah Palin?
A: The evidence is that he tended to be a lideral in his politics. Its OK for a liberal to spew hate and threaten people. Only when their background is undetermined is it concluded that it must be a right wing cinspiracy

@Eli~You are right! If we ALL dont"Clean it up America",this will be only the begining.Thank goodness some of you are satnding up for this man! If HE doesnt have the right to be mad as hell, and upset, about this, then WHO does?He was shot and saw many die.HE is NOT a bit nuts~he has NORMAL feelings. As I said, there will be gun control, when this happens to enough families of the ones who think we all need anything beyond a simple gun,in the private sector. Its nice that every time one of us walks into a place now,we will never know which of us or our loved ones are next! He is right~Clean it up America~no matter WHAT your beliefs!

Also, for anyone thinking that everyone being armed, makes us safer~I hate to tell you,but that is far, far, from the truth! One man was armed last Sat.and thank goodness he did not fire,as the man he 1st THOUGHT was the gunman, was a HERO TRYING TO SUBDUE THE GUNMAN! I also know ,that normal citizens are NOT going to pull out their gun and start shooting people,no matter what is going on! A member of my family, who is a police officer, put his life on the line,by fighting a crazed man, with a shotgun, instead of shooting him. When I said I would have killed him and been done with it~he said"no You wouldnt, because you would know how much you would have to go thru after that!"I decided that was probably very right! To jump in and shoot someone, unless the gunman was somehow totally apart from everyone else, could very well lead to the ruination of YOUR life, and most folks darn well KNOW that, for all their gun~carryig rights nonsense. So it is not likely they are going to take that chance if there is any other way.Like a chair over the head, and other things those heros did last Saturday.Lets grow up folks~The wild west and guns needed to fight off REALLY bad guys at every corner,AND to hunt for everything you eat~our forefathers died FOR US~so WE dont have to do that anymore!
