A man who was wounded in last Saturday's massacre in Tucson, Arizona, was taken to a county mental services unit Saturday after making a threatening comment at a town hall event in Tucson, Pima County Sheriff's Department spokesman Jason Ogan said.

Its appalling that up to the 90's, we could have an honest difference of opinion without it becoming truly violent. When someone disagrees with me, I may not accept their opinion as valid. Sadly, now some have decided that when someone disagrees with them, they decide THEY are not valid. This is what comes from having a media that doesn't honestly give both sides of an argument, and it's why the fairness doctrine must be reinstated. Without it, all we get is propaganda.

The rest of the story is, influenced by violent rhetoric of the liberal pundits, he made death threats against the Tea Party.

As a pensioner living in Toronto, I have time to listen to radio from Buffalo and Rochester. The lefty shows seldom spew out "violent rhetoric". The righty shows do little but

I don't how it can be so obvious to you people that sreading anger is isolated to the right. The last two years of George W.'s term, was hell for him and his family because of the hatred coming from the Obama's camp and supporters. It seemed as if it was ok to threaten the President and this was coming from all those of you who find it so appaulling now. I believe this is where the left got out of hand and it seems to be growing in the left. The shooter and Mr. Fuller were from the left. Although after it was first reported now the liberal media says the shooter didn't have a political backgroung. But those of us who read ALL the news remember what was said before the left decided to change that fact. Now can we say PROPAGANDA?!

You really don't "read all the news" there, Liz. Of this I am absolutely positive. You don't level the playing field, by the way, just feed that big old hate machine with your dopey Sunday evening commentary you try to pass of as fact.

We who comment on blogs need to assume some sense of responsibility for the remarks we make. Perhaps this traumatized gentleman has spent some of his recovery time reading the hate-filled exchanges on CNN's blogs. We are to blame for continuing this divisive discourse. When will we ever learn?

Fact is, Palin hired this Loughner kid to pull this stunt. Palin hates America. She doesn't consider Alaska a U.S. state. She really hates Americans. Got me? Now no more argueing.

It seems to me that no one has a handle on what, if any, political affiliation this sick young man holds. From up here in the Great White North, it would appear thsat he leaned to the right for a number of reasons. Yes, a former high school acquaintance said he was liberal. Possibly true, but can we all agree that time changes people? Liz in Ohio, while I commend the passion of your arguments, I feel compelled to let you know that there is no "u" in appalling.
